Sidereal Cancer’s nourishment comes from their intelligence and wisdom. Jupiter exalts in Cancer. Their hyper-vigilance can make them great guardians and protectors. However, I’ve seen this is typically motivated by fear and this is the sign’s shadow; fear of losing control. Their dependence on the predictable and reliable is what makes them very supportive and dependable people. In my experience I can always count on my sidereal cancer friends. This is seen in Saturn and Mercurys’ rulership of Pushya and Ashlesha. Saturn makes rules, Mercury organizes and keeps track of everything. Saturn and Mercury can create the perfectionism seen in these two nakshatras. I rarely seen them slip up, they’re usually the only one getting in their own way.
Balancing this fear comes from learning they don’t always need to be on guard. They might often feel they’re the only reason things remain stable, or “safe” (mars debilitation in cancer). Learn to trust it’ll work out, Cancer’s wisdom is unparalleled as long as it flows from the heart and is not framed by fear (Jupiter exaltation).
