One of the greatest gifts in my life is the presence of strong women. I’ve had the pleasure of working with and learning from some of the most passionate, unapologetic but also sympathetic people in their respective industries... I never thought of them as female, they were just a boss. These four women, along with a good 80% of my friends who are other women doing extraordinary things, have shaped the man I am today. To all the women in my life: happy #internationalwomensday! Thank you for your fearlessness, motivation, guidance, trust and love everyday. Today was one of those days that made my path in life extra meaningful and all worth it. As a kid from immigrant parents who grew up in Compton being gay, I don’t think I’m supposed to be where I am today… but I am. So, getting to share my story with students at Hamilton High today through @communitiesinschool knowing that I might have inspired one of them be excited about life after high school and hopeful to find something they love to do everyday as much as I do makes me feel like I am exactly where I need to be. Thanks to my badass boss, #AshleeMargolis @thealist.us, for always bringing opportunities like this to the table no matter how busy we are.
