Dennis:
The way he proposes is simple and exceedingly corny. It’s late at night, the only people at Russian Sushi was him and his s/o whom he’d ask to stay longer so that they could try the new dish he was thinking of putting on the menu. When his s/o takes a bite of it, they find a ring very gently resting on the rice. Dennis tries to act casual about it but internally he’s worried that they’ll say no or that they’ll think he’s being ridiculous. Surprise surprise though, his s/o laughs because it’s such an adorable gesture. Plus the sushi was good too.
Simon:
This man, this guy. You think he’d be loud about his proposal but he isn’t. It’s just a quiet night for once and he proposes in a way that most people don’t expect from him: just a very quiet “would you like to spend the rest of your life with me?” He does it in a more or less empty place so that his s/o doesn’t have to deal with the pressure of others around them. When they do say yes, that’s when Simon starts being loud again. Every person they pass, he tells them “we’re getting married” and his s/o is happy but mildly embarrassed because Simon wont stop telling people.

Shiki actually doesn’t mind what sort of gift he gets for his birthday because he knows that it’s hard buying gifts for him. And he doesn’t mind it either if he doesn’t get a gift so really the fact that his s/o went through the trouble of getting hims something is a gift within itself so he thanks them and keeps the gift at his bedside no matter how useless or unfitting of him it may be.
Akabayashi is surprised really, because he’s gotten so used to the fact that not a lot of people like him despite his kindness. So he loves the gift, no matter what it is, and even brags to Aozaki about it.
Aozaki does’t usually get gifts either and when he gets one from his s/o he actually laughs and not in a condescending way either. He’s just so surprised and amused that it makes him laugh. He really appreciates the gift, though if you asked him about it he’s pretty standoffish about it. Rest assured though, he loves the gift too he just gets embarrassed admitting it out loud.
