Today I want to share some of my favorite queer artists with you all <3
XLOV
A recently debuted genderless concept kpop group, with incredible dance skills, vocals, and fashion. Their music is great, but their music videos and choreography are phenomenal. Breaking the gender binary is icing on the cake.
Jeangu Macrooy
A skilled, thoughtful artist. His skill is a gift to soul, alternative, and pop music. Lyrics, melody, and beat are all high quality. Has also made some great activist anthems. I've listened through his entire discography and found it difficult to find a track I didn't love.
Moonbyul
I've been following Moonbyul for awhile, and her songs and concepts, whether rock or pop, are always worth listening to, unabashedly queer even in a very conservative music industry.
Nxdia
A fantastic alternative artist, their music is full of intense emotion. To me, their music sounds inherently queer with that distinct gen z experience. Nxdia uses both Arabic and English in their incredible lyrics!
Asiahn
Sapphic love R&B? yes please <333 Asiahn's lyrics and vibes are incredibly romantic.
Mad Tsai
If you've ever listened to "boy bi," you've heard his music before! As an artist, he's grown a lot since he first began releasing music, and I always enjoy listening to the new releases.
Semler
If you like American country music about liberation and folk music, you'll like Semler. Their music is nostalgic and shaped from their experiences as a queer Christian.
I didn't include artists like Sufjan Stevens, Chappell, Todrick Hall, and Kehlani because they are very well known. I'd love to hear anyone else's recommendations as well!
