— my heart, my soul aches. i don’t know what to do.'i bend, but don't break. somehow ill get through.
"Father, I came to visit. I—" His words were forcibly cut once a hand waved, dismissing anything and everything he had to say. The announcement that he’s having fun at Atrapado, that he met a couple of good people — that his son is doing well was vanished without a second thought. Had he become stupid? His father wasn’t interested in his stories. It wasn’t like they were family — that was just a label stuck on by society; he just lived with a couple of strangers that were linked to him by blood. Not affection, but blood and Bambam once again got carried away by the thought of being home.
A soft sigh escaped his throat. There was no point in returning — not when he was nothing more than invisible to the eyes he wanted to shine in front. "I’ll be leaving now. Please let mother know I dropped by."
— cause i have you.'and when i have to crawl.'well, you'll crawl too.
There was nothing but annoyance drawn on his face and Bambam held back the profanity. “Being one minute late isn’t going to kill anyone,” he growled back. Eyebrows scrunching with his scowl, he wasn’t the type to throw rages fits at his professors — but today, today he couldn’t seem to take it. Everything felt like it was swallowing him and there was no place to run. “Bambam” His name rang sharp through the classroom, all eyes switching between the assistant and the professor, curious of the outcome. “Wait in the hallway. We’ll speak once I finish my lesson.” And Bambam figured there was no more use in arguing, he wasn’t going to become anyones source of entertainment and as his eyes flickered over a bunch of wide-eyed students, he sighed before turning his heel and making his leave.
He threw his bag roughly on the floor beside him as he pressed his shoulders against the bricked walls. There was an exhausted sigh before he let his mind run through his thoughts. The thoughts of him and his father, the sole reason for his distress.
Though, that lasted only a couple of seconds and once a yell for a name was heard, Bambam glanced over at his classroom door. A figure, someone that the assistant knew was in his class but didn’t know well enough, exited and their gazes automatically locked. Bambam stood confused. Confused on why the male was outside walking towards him when inside their classroom, their professor was yelling for his name. “You do know that our teacher is calling you, right?” Bambam managed to question, trying to understand the situation as the other nodded. “I do,” Simon responded with an expression that barely expressed his worries.
"And then, you’re out here … because?"
At the moment, Bambam blinked as the other cut him off. “Are you doing okay?” The sudden question got the assistant even more puzzled and he blankly watched as the older reached over to rub the back of his neck— as if he was itching to say something. “I mean, you seemed all upset in the classroom and I could only wonder.., I don’t want to pry or anything but if you want to talk— even though we’re not friends, I can always listen.” The rambles indicated Simon was a bit nervous and Bambam could only blink in disbelief. Those words— that whole response was something he waited everyday for his father to ask him but instead, here he was, in front of someone that he barely knew, who expressed their genuine concern and Bambam could only smile.
A helpless but true smile. “You’re precious.” He lowered his gaze, biting on the sides of his smile. “But thank you.”
