He had his nose in a book as he headed down the busy road, managing to somewhat sidestep everyone, though that was probably mostly because he was tall and everyone dodged him more than anything else.
The book he was currently reading was a greek one about the history of Parselmouths, as his newest wayward student was a complete trouble magnet. He was going to need all the extra information and refreshers he could get his hands on. Of course, being so absorbed in what he was reading he didn't see the young man he was about to collide with.
"Ah— I'm terribly sorry, I wasn't paying attention." He quickly apologised, looking over the other to see if he was alright. He'd only been slightly staggered himself, but then making a vampire lose his balance wasn't nearly as easy to do as it was to a human.
