5.What does your muse think of their own abilities?

I don’t know if he really thinks much about them! In my opinion, a lot of Duster’s fighting actions are reflex. Like he totally kicks the shit out of someone with a straight face and then goes “Oh... oops... sorry.”

He’s more nervous about his bass playing, though.

7.What does your muse think of their own parents?

sweats... Well he’s iffy on it. It’s a gray area. Wess cares for Duster in his own... interesting way but I’m sure if / when they talked it out a little bit they could have their relationship stay friendly. I think after living with a more loving family (The DCMC) for a few years, Duster’s eyes are opened to how neglectful and shitty Wess truly was. So it’s like... 50/50. Seeing Wess realize his mistakes is an interesting concept to me though. 

Clearly... considering what Duster saw on Tanetane... he probably wants an apology.

“You said what I was thinking.” Duster mutters, taking a step back towards Lucas. Kumatora is being rather... liberal with practicing her fire PSI today, and the likeliness that she’s going to burn the house down? It seems high. Well, the thief definitely doesn’t want to be here when it happens.

He puts a hand on Lucas’ shoulder, turning away from the pink haired princess’s mischief. “Why don’t we... go somewhere else.” Maybe they can use this as an excuse make it a guys day, just the two of them.

“OJ, definitely.” He rubs his neck. “I mean, he was the one who let me stay at the club... I was so confused back then.” Not to mention wet, being washed up on a river bank with no memory of who you are is a bit of a nerve-wracking experience, to say the least. 

“The guys are all my family, but OJ’s always been our leader, I guess. I look up to him, a lot.” His optimism was a very good thing for Duster’s mental state over those three years. Of course all of the DCMC were so upbeat, it was practically impossible for him to feel lost.

Duster couldn’t help but crack a smile. Sometimes their situation seemed bleak, but Lucas making a joke like that? It just made everything better to have him in good spirits. 

“ Oh, definitely. ” He said in return, similarly sarcastic. “ Cause every Pigmask I’ve met has been really smart. ”

It’s the happy boxes they’re talking about. Duster had never seen one at Titiboo, and when he came back to the completely transformed Tazmily, they were everywhere! So he had to ask. He’d had a hunch they weren’t so good.

 It's time to go home, but it's been so long. 

Duster’s nervous. For one reason, just one. He’s agreed to stick with Lucas through this journey, that’s not what’s bothering him. Finding needles, pulling them, fighting off disturbing creatures? It’s all in a days work, it seems. No... that’s not it.

He’d been home to Tazmily once already in the past few days, but back then, he didn’t remember a thing. Now with all his memories returned, and his imprisonment in Saturn Valley behind them, Kumatora is insisting they go talk to his father, get his advice on their next move.

The thief is basically frozen out in the dilapidated hallway of the old folk’s home. He really hadn’t noticed before how run down it was... made his stomach sink. Going inside that room is the one thing causing him to hesitate, right now. Kumatora is already inside. He looks at Lucas, and smiles timidly.

“ I’ll wait out here. ”

The verbal warning was appreciated but not really needed, Duster dodges Kumatora’s playful punch easily. 

“If you were trying to sneak up on me, I don’t know if yelling is the best idea.” He adds, amused. The thief can always feel the hairs on his neck stand up when someone is behind him, anyway. It’s just all the training engrained into him. Simple as that.

“But hey, if you wanted to spar, you can always just ask.” It’s not like he goes anywhere without his toolbelt anyway, so he’s ready. Kumatora can bring it on!
