What is Magnetar's story? Other being a clone
AHHH LORE DUMP..Here’s a quick synopsis on her origins-and a vague statement about her role in the TFP show!!!
Magnetars beginning takes place mid-war on Cybertron, Shockwave being the one responsible for her creation. Considering the possibility of Lord Megatron’s death and through unconventional scientific curiosity, Shockwave was compelled to create a genetic replica of his lord and master! Shockwave having already made several scientific breakthroughs in the cloning process(the insecticons, the clones of himself, etc.) approached this project through a new unethical and entirely experimental method.
He wanted to build this clone from the first strand of CNA to the last. Develop it entirely separate from a protoform template.
Unfortunately, this resulted in a rather small, more adolescent version of megatron. Due to pressures and high risks of war, Shockwave was forcibly running out of time. Fearing Megatron’s discovery of his blunder as well as risking the Autobots discovery of his lab, he chose to destroy it all. Burying it, obscuring it from Deception and Autobot radar entirely. The clone and the lab were lost from the history of the war.
Unexpectedly, Shockwaves attempt to bury the evidence wasn’t as successful as he believed. The process wasn’t thorough, the clone had survived but without support from any such power in the lab, was trapped in energon stasis and its growth was severely stunted. Years passed, the war moved along as did Cybertrons state of decay.
Come to season 1 of Transformers Prime. Megatron launches the clump of dark energon towards the former lively planet, creating a power surge and resurrecting the dead of Cybertron. It wasn’t the only thing he resurrected. The power surge on the planet generated enough power to awaken the clone.
And so, Magnetars optics opened, and her first thoughts were formed.
Magnetar will eventually arrive on Earth(around s2) and dedicate herself to destroying Megatron.
