hi, first time asking, but I love your platonic yandere transformers stories. Can you maybe a make a sequel of one? Like the human are sparklings one, like them putting them in real sparkling bodies for there own good. or maybe build off of soundwave with his vehicon cassette? I headconnon that knockout can't have sparklings and if soundwave shows how he got his new cassette with shockwaves help, i can see knockout think about having a sparkling that way. Hell if this is after breakdown's death, he may view this as a way to preserve his conjunxes memory. Sorry for rambling.
Ok so fun fact, my two humans-to-sparklings story are an au I'm currently working on (complete with actual names and not a reader thing) but not too much since I'm also focus on another fic. And I uhh, kinda still haven't gotten to the part of the putting them into their cybertronian bodies scene, since I'm still stuck on which humans gets to be this bot's sparkling (the decepticons humans are nearly there though)
Do be reminded that this is a PLATONIC YANDERE story, where none of the characters here are willing to let the humans go.
So-
CW: Kidnapping, platonic yandere, stockholm syndrome
So the gist is that the sparklings on the Autobots side, who I call as the 'Perseus crew' since that's the name of the ship will get tricked by the Autobots into showing them where the remaining humans are via by inadvertently directing them to the space station they were trying to find.
They will still have a good relationship with the bots, but since most of the humans in the ships are sparklings and after hearing their original space station got practically raided. The Autobots fear that there are more sparklings that are in dire need of helping and since they can't say that the humans are sparklings knowing they'd probably react very violent to that news, they instead manage to convince them to look for their space station instead of looking for a new suitable planet.
All the while growing close to the humans and begin debating which alt-mode is perfect for them humans.
They still want to obviously help their dilemma, but the safety and wellness of their sparks came first.
At best, they're also trying to put them into cybertronian body but building a bond first is more important.
That also doesn't mean that Wheeljack and Ratchet isn't creating their bodies at this moment.
They're just all looking for the perfect time to break the ice with them and finally tell them the truth but it's kinda hard when the humans are all over the place and kept asking questions about them which doesn't help their protocol to make sure the sparklings are loved, well cared for, and teach them about Cybertron.
The humans that are suspicious of the Autobots are the medic (the one with the pov- or Jamie), the combatant (Hector), the coder (Ralph), and the pilot (Beau), the rest are oblivious to it.
They will of course one day finally told them about it, but the time they said it isn't exactly ideal and the bodies were found by one of the humans.
On the Decepticon's side however.
The humans there, or as I like to call them, the 'Psyche crew' are practically told they are sparklings just on their first day.
No sugarcoating, no hiding, no misunderstanding. They were told that since they are sparklings in a horrible organic body, the mechs who found them are now obligated to care for them. Much to the humans' dismay.
And some of the decepticons doesn't exactly like the idea of caring for organic sparklings, they're soldiers not caretakers.
Unlike the Autobots with the Perseus crew, the Decepticons' current plan of motion is to put immediately put them into cybertronian body, ordering shockwave, knockout and the constructicons to help with that project, and making them drink diluted energon so that their sparks will become strong enough for a safe transfer, even if they know the side effects of it.
The humans doesn't like it.
Cause unlike the Autobots where they're at least trying to care for them in their own way. The decepticons at first doesn't, since the behavior of the Psyche crew with each other also doesn't help their view as them being sparkling.
The idea of finding their space station comes to mind, but with how reckless and annoying the humans are, they decided to just focus on the current matter first.
Especially with how toxic and childish the four humans are acting.
However, their relationship with the humans will improve.
Unlike in the Autobots where their trust among their humans was broken upon seeing the bodies and their assflat explanation.
The decepticons build their trust and relationship with their humans, high enough for them to feel comfortable with each other even if they're talking about transferring. In other words, Stockholm Syndrome.
I'm still working on that plot since in a way, their endings is gonna be ambiguous especially with the Autobot humans, while the decepticon humans will still end up as sparklings.
But the thing is, something changed my mind halfway through imagining scenarios in my head during the Psyche's development. And it's where the 'what-if the Psyche crew found a bunch of Allspark fragments, and they take it inside their ship which cause the Allspark to react and instead turn them immediately into Cybertronian younglings'.
Not sparklings, but younglings at their equivalent age of like 12-16.
Where instead of them being told that they are sparklings, it's visibly obvious that they are sparklings well- younglings when they are found, and the decepticons are very prepared to beat whoever abandoned them and not listening when they're trying to explain that they are humans (they ended up believing them eventually since Soundwave managed to fix the ship's system and found out about the Allspark and their original human form)
But yeah, this au is more of a 'the story progresses whenever I'm in the shower' story type and not something I'm currently focus on, but I wouldn't mind working on it occasionally. (I even draw designs of the humans lol)
But yeah, this au is still very much a wip.
...
So on TFP!Soundwave with the vehicon or should I say...
PLATONIC YANDERE! TFP!KNOCKOUT with VEHICON READER
CW: kidnapping, platonic yandere
Knockout and Breakdown in some way, knew that one of them are probably gonna die. But in the case of happening, they already have their CNA separated in a tube, knowing that in some way, their technology would be great enough to create a sparkling out of nothing. But as far as their knowledge knows, it's still unachievable.
And they both knew that between the two of them, Breakdown has a higher chance of dying.
And they were right.
Breakdown's death was a tragedy to Knockout and it shows. He became more agitated, snappy and closing himself off from any of the decepticons.
It got worse when that disgusting human took his conjunx' frame.
Megatron even gave him a stellar cycle off just so he can process his grief before going back to his job.
The only one who really bothers to talk to him is a vehicon who keeps getting injured, a chatty vehicon. Poor mech got shouted by Knockout cause they can't help but talk.
But the thing is, that Vehicon didn't know that Breakdown died. They just thought he's just on a very difficult mission
The vehicon got reprimanded by the other vehicons once they heard what they did, since that particular event can jeopardize Knockout's help to them and they obviously don't want that.
And with the way the vehicon accidentally treated Knockout like just some medic, they're afraid that this might also ruin any of their chances of life, and they don't want another missing vehicon.
Like that one vehicon under Soundwave's.
But that vehicon felt bad for being such an annoying little scraphead to the medic, that they went back.
And apologize for how they acted. They didn't mean it since they didn't know.
Knockout at first was skeptical but forgave the vehicon, he of all people knows that the vehicons aren't even told basic information about what's happening in the Nemesis.
But then the vehicon made the mistake of asking how he feels.
"What about you? Are you good?"
And Knockout.. Cried.
It's the first time someone asked him how he feels, and he can't help but explode.
And that vehicon listen.. Against their will tbh, but anything to keep the medic to still treat them.
They listened to his cries, his grief, and his wish.
Knockout: Breakdown and I was gonna start a family. I got his CNA separated but I don't think I can do it.
All the while the vehicon listens and nods along the story, occasionally giving knockout a pat on the back.
Before immediately bolting out the clinic once they were called by their superior.
Logically, that would have been the end of their relationship, right?
But no, not only was the vehicon felt a bit guilty for running off like that while Knockout is clearly not done venting to them.
But the vehicon was also known as the... Reckless type, in fact- they had visited Knockout's clinic the most, though they're quite sure that the medic didn't know his name, but the vehicon don't mind.
Mind you, the vehicon wasn't clumsy enough to ruin a whole mission, they're just clumsy the moment it got to labor jobs. But on missions where they're fighting and shooting blasters? Oh hell yeah, the vehicon's on it!
And yeah sometimes they prattle on about things they found interesting and everything they do during those missions, but beforehand- Knockout responded well to it!
He always add Breakdown to the mix, even when he wasn't present.
And it's not that the vehicon didn't understand it, they were experienced enough to see so many of their friends died in front of them.
And they're certainly not a stranger to grief.
So when the vehicon finished their job, they went back to the clinic to see the medic.. Gone.
They were about to walk away once they saw the empty room only to get jumpscreamed by the medic he was looking for, who was holding a towel.
Knockout: What are you doing?
And after a deep vent, the vehicon apologizes once again for running off. The vehicon then told Knockout about his experiences about their friends. About their death, and apologizing for acting so insensitive earlier that week.
Knockout at first was shocked, but thanked the vehicon. Admitting that it did felt nice to finally let it out.
With that confirmation that Knockout didn't hold any negative feelings towards the vehicon, the vehicon was prepared to leave.
Only for knockout to ask them for their name.
Name.
Not designation, name.
And the vehicon gave it to them, not really knowing why, before leaving.
Soon enough, the vehicon will still end up in Knockout's medbay sooner or later, and there they would talk about anything.
And when knockout is done talking, he just let the vehicon say whatever is on their processor of that day.
They ended up becoming close, close enough to the point that the vehicon would always say whatever mission they're currently on right now, tell knockout what they're gonna do for the week, and even come to him whenever he has a problem.
And knockout didn't mind.. At least that's what they think.
Though many times, the vehicon would soon avoid talking about their injuries and scars that they got from said mission.
Especially when said injuries, came from a battle.
Whenever they come in to the medbay with battles scars, instead of being praised like before. Knockout began to dot on him, something the vehicon.. Wasn't that comfortable with.
Always asking where they are, what they are doing, if they refuel- even scolding them whenever they got injured.
But they're a vehicon soldier, they always get injured.
It would eventually progress into that vehicon always being on Knockout's side whenever the medic is needed in a mission that requires an extra servo.
And during those missions, the other vehicons would notice the extra attention that particular vehicon would get from knockout.
They would overhear words like.
"Are you okay?"
"You're not hurt, aren't you?"
"Is the lifting too heavy for you? You could always take a break"
Coming from the medic.
Especially when the vehicon got permanently reassigned to be Knockout's assistant in the medbay.
And almost every time they interact, Knockout always give the vehicon a cube of Energon.
Was the vehicon happy with that change? No, they weren't.
Yeah he might be clumsy during labor work but he's a good soldier! He can shoot a bunch of Autobots and create a diversion good enough for the other vehicons to escape. And now they're just.. There in a medbay.
And dare they say it, they began to uhh.. Resent Knockout for taking their actual job away.
Which unfortunately didn't resonate with Knockout.
With his new sparkling in close proximity, he can safely monitor their spark!
Soundwave said it needs to be as bright as the Earth's sun, bright enough to fill the whole screen for a safe transfer.
And he's trusting Soundwave for that.
After all, Soundwave was the one who trusted him on giving the right anti-virus specs to his new cassette.
Of course, Knockout did what he was asked to do and proceeded to put every protection he can find to the new cassette who is, by the way- sleeping soundly on his servo.
Imagine his surprise when he saw the third-in-command waltz inside his medbay, holding a small bundle on his servos.
And he knows that Soundwave knows he's curious on where he got the new sparkling.
Though Knockout never said it, he's still a bit afraid when it comes to the TIC, of course.
But after the TIC left, hiding his new cassette. Moments later, Knockout got an attachment sended by none other than Soundwave. A whole document listing everything on transfering a spark to a cassette.
Knockout at first was confused, he wasn't a cassette carrier and he never will be.. But, on the last page of the document is what caught his attention.
'Shockwave: willing to experiment'
...
It was pure curiosity on his part.
Knockout only asked if Shockwave can instead perform a successful transfer of an artificial spark to an actual sparkling frame. And although Shockwave was suspicious at first, but the idea of exceeding his already perfect research even more became a goal to him.
So Shockwave explained the possibility, and how it can happen if he has the proper parts of course.
And Knockout listened to it all.
Again, it was just pure curiousity.
He and Breakdown always wanted a child and now.. It will never happen.
Even if this whole.. This whole transfer thing is morally fucked-up.
...
He can't help but imagine it though..
That vehicon, the one he always fixes.
How long will it happen until they suddenly stop their visits?
It happened too many times on the nemesis, especially to the vehicons.
Breakdown's death was a surprise but to the vehicons? At least 20 of them always offlined at every battle, and none of the vehicons doesn't even seem to mind it all.
The vehicon he kept talking to was reckless, always coming in to his medbay with bruises.
At first he tried his best not to mind it.
But the cycle that they went missing for a week, knockout was scared.
Don't tell me he already lost the only vehicon that he connected with.
But when the vehicon came back with a smile, and an arm that obviously isn't fixed enough.
And when he tried to scold the vehicon for being too reckless on their missions, the vehicon dismiss his worry and just said.
"I'm a vehicon, not a sparkling. At least I would offline with style, you know?"
And no matter how Knockout tried his best to instill in their mind that this mindset is horrible.
Making sure he pick the vehicon when it comes to mission.
Even going as far as to hire that vehicon under him, to keep them safe.
It never seemed to get in to their simple processor that the vehicon is fragile.
After a long while, it's like he's arguing with an adamant child.
No matter how much he tried to keep them under his sight, to keep that reckless vehicon safe.
They still went on a mission, didn't came back for a week, and return with a barely functioning arm.
Since if he managed to did it to Soundwave's new cassette.
So he went back to shockwave, and asked if if it's really possible to achieve that kind of transferring.
Then he can do it to Knockout's new sparkling.
It's funny, knockout and Breakdown always agree that their sparkling would be a handful. But Breakdown had promised him that he'll always keep an eye out for their sparkling.
But he's gone.
And now Knockout is creating a sparkling, using his and Breakdown's backup CNA.
They knew this would happen eventually, Knockout just didn't expect for him to use it on a vehicon.
But..
Its for the best, right?
If Soundwave was able to get a glimpse of his previous family with his new cassette.
Shockwave barely looked up from his work when he first heard the nearly silent sound of Soundwave’s pedes against the floor again. It wasn’t the first time Soundwave had left and come back since Shockwave first started working that morning, and Shockwave knew it wouldn’t be the last. Soundwave had been in and out of the room all day, his focus split between his own responsibilities up in the command deck and returning to Shockwave’s side to press yet again for an updated timeline of the day’s schedule.
As always, Soundwave stood a mere few feet away, his presence silent and unassuming in a way that Shockwave could have and would have ignored had it been anyone else coming in to interrupt. Unlike everyone else, Soundwave knew to listen and wait for a response from him, because Shockwave would always give it when he was ready.
As always, Soundwave was right. Shockwave filled an empty beaker with strange, bubbling liquid and swiped a digit across the screen of the datapad closest to him before turning to glance up at Soundwave. His optic shifted up and down in sync with the faint bob of his helm as he studied, assessed, then determined from the silence itself and the way Soundwave made no attempt at explaining his presence yet again what the mech was there for.
“There have been no new or significant changes to report on, Soundwave,” he said as he turned back to his work, his attention shifting back to the new numbers filling his datapad’s screen while the machinery caught up with the latest chemical reactions happening in the beakers he had filled. “My itinerary remains much the same; I project my work will reach a point of completion by the end of the day.”
That, however, was the problem, though it wasn’t as much a problem for Shockwave as it was for Soundwave, who still stood there in the same spot regarding him with silence while Shockwave returned to measuring his liquid components, unbothered and uninterested. Since that morning, when Shockwave had risen from recharge and made it clear over a scheduled morning he had chosen to skip that his day would be chock full of very important work he simply couldn’t put off any longer, Soundwave had been displeased with the day’s plans.
There were no pressing matters at the moment, Soundwave had reasoned. Shockwave, in turn, had admitted that Soundwave was right. He had spoken back immediately after that that having a lack of expectations and demands from Megatron for once freed up a lot of extra time for him, which in turn meant that he simply had to take advantage of the opportunity to further his own ambitions. as far as he was aware, it was the only right way to spend his day.
Soundwave didn’t agree, but Shockwave didn’t care. He had made up his mind, and he was not going to waste precious time on menial evaluations when he was certain he had already made the most logical choice.
It had been decided then. With a full day of free time and no matters for him to attend to, Shockwave was going to spend it all working diligently on his own personal projects. Soundwave was free to join him, of course, or he was free to tend to his own work, but Shockwave was committed to his choice. The more Soundwave pushed, though, the harder that choice became to stick with.
Behind him, Soundwave still hadn’t moved. Shockwave stopped midway through pouring his base mixture into a row of test tubes when he heard the warbled sound of his own voice being parroted back to him, courtesy of Soundwave’s heavy bass speakers.
“Tomorrow,” he heard himself say, the voice steady and confident, as though the plans had been carved into stone. “At the top of the hour, according to earth’s time calculations, we will refuel together.”
He paused, shifting, thinking. Had he really said that?
He didn’t remember making plans, but clearly, he had made them. He didn’t like changing plans, either, but if something was already planned for today beforehand…
“Ah,” he said after a pause, standing up from his crouch over the desk. He set his supplies down and turned back to Soundwave, who had stepped a full foot closer to him and watched with an unwavering gaze hidden behind the mask. “I see that I seem to have forgotten about our pre-established refueling schedule.”
An unfortunate mishap, considering all of the work he still had to do today, and the step in the process he was currently on.
He couldn’t just up and leave. Not now. It would cost him precious time and resources. At the same time, he couldn’t put off what he had already scheduled with Soundwave, both for his own personal pet peeve’s sake and for Soundwave’s clear insistence on making it happen one way or another.
Shockwave turned to look at his work again, then back at Soundwave. He didn’t really have to choose between one or the other, did he?
“I will not be able to leave the materials unattended at this stage,” he said, debating his options aloud, “yet my systems are overdue for energon.”
What a dilemma. Thankfully, there was an easy solution.
“Bring the fuel here,” he said, giving Soundwave a short nod before turning fully back to his work and jumping right in again. “I’ll adjust my workflow to make room for refueling, which will ensure I am able to do both things at once.”
It was the obvious choice. Soundwave wasn’t going to let up until he gave in, anyway. This way, he could refuel without stepping away from his work, and Soundwave’s desire to uphold their prior plans would still be fulfilled. Soundwave wasn’t nearly as big a distraction as the rest of the foolish mechs on the Nemesis could be, but he was still a distraction all the same. and right now, Shockwave simply couldn’t have that.
Soundwave retreated without protest, and after a moment to himself to continue where he had left off, Shockwave heard the mech returning shortly after when the sound of wheels against the floor drowned out the faint tap of Soundwave’s pedes. Shockwave paid it no mind at first, his focus remaining on his work, until a long tentacle appeared out of the corner of his field of vision and stretched forward to hover in front of him with a cube in its grasp.
Shockwave did look up then, and he found Soundwave standing close behind him, his extra limbs unsheathed and a cart stacked with cubes parked beside him.
How convenient. Shockwave made a sound of acknowledgment, then stopped to accept the cube from Soundwave and drank it down before returning to his work yet again.
Behind him, shuffling sounds followed, and not even a minute after he had drank the first cube, a second cube appeared in its place. Shockwave glanced up in surprise, hardly expecting to see the tentacle hovering next to him again with another cube so soon, but he took it, too, and drank it down quickly.
As he set the empty cube down, a second tentacle appeared to take it away while the first held up a third cube for him to drink, the lid already peeled back and the contents sloshing up past the fill line.
“Hmm,” Shockwave hummed in thought, accepting the cube with the slightest bit of hesitation. “Thank you, Soundwave.”
To his further surprise, Soundwave was already reaching for another, the digits on the end of his tentacle tendrils peeling back the lid and preparing it for Shockwave to drink. Shockwave paused then, setting his current cube down before drinking it to look back at the silent mech with a curious eye.
“Are you not refueling as well?” he asked.
Soundwave didn’t respond. Not with words, at least. He simply reached for the cube Shockwave had set down and picked it up again, then pushed it back into Shockwave’s servo while he worked on peeling open another two cubes after the next one in line was prepped and ready.
Shockwave couldn’t exactly argue with that, either. It was certainly convenient. He turned back to his work without another word on the matter and shifted his focus from actively pouring, mixing, and measuring to taking note of the new data he had already found. It gave him room to keep drinking as Soundwave provided, which seemed to keep the mech pleased in the meantime.
As he worked, reading and typing and scrolling and muttering aloud to himself the things he needed to commit to memory for future experimentation, Soundwave prepared more cubes. And more. And more, and even more, until Shockwave’s focus on the work at hand has slowly fizzled into nothing as he started worrying more about the steady flow of fuel going from his servo to his mouth to his rapidly filling tanks.
He was a big mech, but even he had his limitations. His fuel intake was no more than that of anyone else on the ship, and yet Soundwave was treating him to several ration’s worth, if not more, and continuing onward from there. One cube after another found its way into Shockwave’s servos until he could no longer keep up, and when he dared to try to speak out and stop Soundwave from feeding him anymore, tentacle tendrils and closing proximity between their frames were all the interrupting answers he would get.
Shockwave was chugging cubes to keep up before long, and even then, Soundwave was faster. His project lay scattered and forgotten as he panted and struggled, and his belly sloshed with the fuel packed tightly inside. He was starting to feel bloated from the intake volume, and he could barely talk under the pressure pushing against him from the inside, but after a long stretch of force feeding and filling him up with more fuel than he could digest, the cubes finally stopped. In their place, Soundwave’s tentacles settled.
The long, skinny tendrils wrapped around Shockwave’s midsection and gently squeezed, their wiry ends digging in between the seams of his plating to gently soothe and prod at the taut mesh stretched and swollen from his oversized meal. Shockwave had tried to protest without success against the heavy fueling, and now he tried to protest Soundwave’s extra limbs gently tugging him away from his desk and towards the door. That, of course, was met with the same level of resistance and steady encouragement, and the further Shockwave was dragged from his work, the more he found himself willingly giving in to being pulled away.
Soundwave was already reaching for the half-full cart of fuel to drag along with them as they passed it by, his tentacles curled comfortably around both Shockwave’s arm and his waist as he guided them towards the door. Shockwave didn’t even try to stop him at that point, already feeling too full and knowing he was only going to get filled even fuller.
The message had been received; he was going to be taking a proper break now, and it was going to be the kind of break that lasted him for the rest of the day. Soundwave made that clear enough from the initial refueling, and Shockwave already knew that after this was over, he wasn’t going to want to leave the comfort of their berth anyway.
Especially considering how terrorcons are ultimately both vampire and zombie in nature, and they come at it from a different angle than energon vampires do :33
what if tfp's soundwave emerges from the dead zone? however, instead of chasing autobots in revenge successfully, he has to transform into a radio because his functions have been permanently altered...
and he's, like, come back during the pandemic.
and there's a human looking for stuff in a shop who buys him, because the owner dragged him out of a deposit and was like "sure, why not sell this decrepit radio, maybe someone will want it even if it's the pandemic and this town in the middle of bumfuck nowhere is deserted but it's the pandemic so the world is going crazy and maybe someone will want the radio I DON'T KNOW JUST BUY THE FUCKING THING I REGRET PUTTING IT IN MY SHOP IT'S GOT GHOSTS".
and so soundwave enters a house™ for the first time and then the human starts talking to him thinking he's, like, a radio haunted by the ghost of some veteran and tries teaching him that letting go of old ideologies is ok, that commanders don't give a shit about their soldiers anyway even when they say they do and when all is said and done every faction is left with nothing so why not turn a new leaf?
and soundwave tries contacting decepticons desperately because LIKE HELL he is getting schooled by a human WHO'S NEVER SEEN WAR, but nobody is coming because all old frequencies have been abandoned and no one gives a shit about him anymore, not even the autobots who think it's someone posing as him.
megatron is not coming back, starscream is maybe still being swarmed by vindictive predacons and soundwave has no intention of saving his sorry aft.
shockwave (the ONLY one who bothered to answer to his requests of assistance) agrees that the human has a point and he himself has fucked off to a planet in the outskirts of the galaxy to take care of his predacons (those that chose not to chew on starscream's wings) and do his experiments.
and so he gets carried around by the human and accepts the human's words only because he has nothing left to do.
i shall call this AU...
I HAVE AN ANTENNAE AND I CAN'T SCREAM
it will also star jazz being the only bot who realizes the messages weren't a joke, and makes himself get bought by the human as a veeery discounted car just so that he can intimidate soundwave into not trying anything funny.
and he ends up laughing his aft off because soundwave is ridiculous in his sorry state and jazz never tells the autobots he found him because he is secretly happy soundwave is attached enough to the human that they play their favorite music when they cry.
i don't know what i will make raf do in this AU. maybe make him or someone he cares about affected by some kind of situation that makes it very difficult for raf to reach out to the autobots.
maybe the government restricted his access to information related to the autobots at a certain point so he can't even contact ratchet unless ratchet does it first and ratchet has been summoned to cybertron so often that he is planning to move there permanently.
he could be the one who called jazz to begin with, using ratchet as proxy in one of the few times he managed to reach out to him... but soundwave contacts raf himself and reassures him he will do nothing because he recognizes autobots as the victors since he's THAT depressed and megatron himself gave up so eh whatever.
i think that if megatron said stand down, soundwave would, and that's essentially what megatron did, so soundwave took his sweet time but accepted it in the end.
