They’re not restricting the sequels to VIP early access until 2024. And the reason they’re doing it is because it allows them to make more sequels to the books that actually do well, like Immortal Desires. They had no plans to make a sequel for it because of the imbalance of new books vs sequels and wide releases. They say that by doing this, they’ll be able to create more sequels that otherwise wouldn’t have gotten one. And I agree with you that the majority of Choices players are adults, not teens.

IIRC, they also told us all those romance books they were churning out were funding the books like Blades, but it’s been almost 3 years and they still don’t have an official release date so forgive me if I don’t take their word for it.

Immortal Desires getting a sequel doesn’t affect me but kudos to everyone who wanted one ig. I think there are better books that deserved a sequel but whatever.

Atp they should just make the whole app paywalled because that’s where we’re headed.
