Can you describe what the dynamic between Prime and Jason from the 00s would be like?
Of course! The thing is, they're very different in like, Infinite Crisis to Final Crisis (2005 vs 2009) so I'm going off Infinite Crisis era because that's what I'm more familiar with (when thinking of them interacting).
Very, very codependent. Jason would feel like Prime's first friend as an equal in this world and Jason would feel needed because Prime would rely on him and they'd both be pretty vulnerable people.
Prime wouldn't have the context that he's the one who resurrected Jason in this scenario so neither of them knows about it. It makes their relationship less complicated.
Jason would manipulate Prime emotionally to keep him in line. It wouldn't be hard. Prime wouldn't even be able to realize it. Unless Jason gets sloppy. He never does.
When being evil, they take a brains + brawn type dynamic. I've compared them to Ultraman and Owlman before, and I still stand by that, but they're less cold to each other. When they're fighting, Prime takes the lead, and he does most of the legwork.
Jason would probably do most of the work in terms of like, keeping them alive. He cooks, he gets them money, etc. Prime makes up for it by doing whatever Jason says.
They kinda have a vibe where they feel unstable. Like, at any second you don't know if Prime is going to kiss Jason's hands or rip his arms off, or you don't know if Jason is going to slap Prime across the face or pat his cheek. At the same time, though, you know for a fact they aren't going to hurt each other. At least, not physically.
Something interesting between them is their goals. Prime would probably obsess over getting his old world back, and Jason would still try to "fix" the one they're in. I don't think this would change even if they had a strong bond. I think Prime would just get convinced that once he gets to go back to his old world, he'll take Jason back with him, without realizing that Jason might not want that.
I do think they're actually quite sweet to each other. They'd be very casually physically affectionate without talking about it because they both know they're touch starved. Jason would be able to figure out that Prime likes positive reinforcement WAY more than negative reinforcement, and he'd know it's a good idea to keep the all-powerful teenager happy, while Prime would be nice to Jason because Jason is nice to him.
I also think there's a strong bond of trust between them. Jason would trust Prime because Prime is ultimately a bit simple, earnest, and there's no one else that Prime can betray him for. Prime would trust Jason because Jason is nice to him.
