Which one of you is here to catch someone's fairy god parents
Like. The guy from that old cartoon?
You have gained the mental image of yourself as that guy. Fun.
Dirk, have you ever broken a sword?
No. No I haven't. Dont look at the grey thing. It isnt important.
hi Dirk. I have known you prior to this blog and must say you are quite insufferable but this blog intrigues me and i see that it is an ask blog so i must ask your opinions on Kawoshin, its censorship, and it's impact in Neon Genesis Evangelion. answer in-depth. this is an essay question, bitch. if you say you kin Shinji that's an automatic fail because i don't care.
thank you for your time.
Hello Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I see you have given me an opportunity to mansplain and I will happily oblige.
First of all, Kawoshin is definitely an integral part of the entire series, despite Kaworu Nagisa only being present for one episode. In my interpretation, Kaworu is sort of like Shinji's saving grace. Shinji has finally found someone he can connect to on a deep and emotional level, something we see him yearning for the entire series, and the show does the most painful thing and makes it necessary for Shinji to kill him. In my opinion, Kawoshin is sort of like a right-person-wrong-place situation. Their relationship in the series was definitely not the healthiest, but I believe that's only because of the situation they were placed in. I like Kawoshin in "regular circumstance" au's, like a normal highschool situation and such. But I do believe that despite a portion of the fandom's insistence, Kaworu truly did love, or at least feel affection for Shinji, and Shinji most definitely felt the same way. It pains me to think that as soon as he got the chance to properly love a person, he was forced to kill him. The guilt he feels because of this is shown later on, we see him grieving over Kaworu. I don't think Kaworu wanted to betray Shinji by being an angel the way he did. I truly believe Kaworu did not have malicious intent other than his betrayal; I think it was forced upon him. However, while Kawoshin is an important aspect of not only Shinji's development but all of NGE it's definitely not the MOST important part of the show and I hate to see it being passed off as such. I've seen so many people watch the show JUST because of Kawoshin and I really don't think that's the only reason people should watch it. I want to call Kawoshin good LGBT representation but I really can't. It's the classic "kill off the gay kid before we actually have to properly represent gay people" kind of thing, sort of like Richie Tozier and Eddie Kaspbrak, only with Kawoshin, Kaworu's death actually creates some interesting development. So I'll give it that. I just wish it didn't have to be the love interest that died.
On the censoring, I really don't expect much from Netflix, but frankly it's fucking appalling how awfully they did. "You are worthy of my grace." What the fuck is that supposed to mean? You can just say they're fruity and they love each other and go on with the show. My god.
These are just my opinions on the show, please don't get pissy in the notes. Evangelion can literally be interpreted in so many ways.
tell him your gonna kill the fish guy??? idkk lol
Thank you, Roxy.
DIRKKK y do u need John’s attetfin???????????
atenton*
attention*
Roxy. I knew I could count on you.
It would make sense that you would show up here.
John has done something very bad with his retcon powers.
He has been avoiding accountability.
I decided that the solution to this predicament is to make him come to me.
This is considering the fact that nobody else has managed to get ahold of him.
Not unless he wanted it, anyway.
I shouldn’t be telling you this.
This auto responder has deteriorated quite a bit after going through the "special stardust" in the "game-over" timeline.
You there, yes you the purple fish dressed as Hatsune Miku. I would like to inform you that your blue boyfriend has been gaslit into thinking that you have been kidnapped by a shirtless man dressed as Bowser and put into a cage wearing a princess peach outfit
That is not what is happening. However, I do need John’s attention. The “purple fish,” as you put it, can help me with that.
I can’t use any of these.
There has to be something.
there is nothing
I need something that will bring him here.
