In the dark of the night, invisible against the deep black sky, a beast flew upon silent wings. Her sharp eyes locked on the torches that illuminated the village of Berk while the people there were sleeping soundly in their homes. 
She scowled softly, rolling her shoulders a bit as she arced her wings, gliding higher as she circled above. The dragon dove, shooting down from the night, jaws parting as a banshee like screech signalled her attack. 


Astrid was in her bed at that moment, trying to sleep. She slept for a few hours but after them, she just couldn’t fall asleep again so she decided she would take a night walk. Her parents wouldn’t mind, they let her go out late at night, anyway she wouldn’t go too far away. She went out of the house and started walking. After some minutes, she arrived at a cliff and decided to sit there looking at the sky where she could appreciate a dragon flying through the stars. It was barely perceptible however she saw it. It seemed to be a…but it was imposible, it could not be a night fury, the only one they met was Toothless and they already did look for more but didn’t find any. She stayed there watching the creature and feeling confused.
