What color profile do you use for canvases on procreate when you're painting?
I was playing around with my own color profiles on procreate and was shocked at how much of a difference it actually makes. I really struggle with choosing colors that have similar tonal ranges to one another, but you never seem to have that same issue. Like the inprocess painting you posted earlier (which looks epic btw) has groups of very similar colors, each one like 1 or 2 degrees different from each other, just enough to provide depth (take for instance the columns and the ground). Idk if that makes sense to you, sorry, but I'm basically wondering if changing the color profile on the canvas is something that you do. If it isn't, how do you go about either choosing colors or switching from one color to a more tonal/neutral version of it?
aahhh u are not going to like my answer. the profile i use is sRGB v4 ICC appearance. it's not cuz i like it but it was due to inprnt's requirements and now im just really used to it. i admit i feel like a bit of a toddler with a crayon when it comes to colour profiles cuz i dont really know what im doing.
when i draw very desaturated paintings like the one u are referring to, i tend to stick to this region:
the grey can pretend to be a lot of colours when it is contrasted by another colour (a grey-green can look yellow next to a blue for example, or desaturated red will be a purple). so the colour u might be seeing isnt really the colour that it is on the colour 'wheel'. i think this has become very intuitive to me so the colour picking is difficult to explain oTL
