Where did you find the patch underneath the Bowie one? I've been looking all over for it, but it's kind of hard to find if you don't even know what it's called. That's the last patch I need for his original 11, and it's driving me crazy. Thank you! :) :) :)
The problem with that patch is that there is sadly only one of those that I know of, and it’s with whoever bought the original patch set from Two River. I really don’t blame you for not being able to find it since even I couldn’t manage.
It’s a design that I’ve only seen listed as “Playboy Bunny On Acid”, and I actually did find the original listing. The only issue: it was on a vintage Etsy where the seller only had one, and it was sold nearly four years ago. Ergo, it can be assumed that Bobby Tilley n friends bought the only one of these for the Two River costume department for the original show. So! I found the same design, just more cleaned up than the original patch, sold as a 70′s t-shirt iron-on sold under the same name in a different section of the wild world of vintage Etsy shops. I scanned this, sent it to a custom patch maker, and ended up with my patch that’s basically Michael’s, if Michael’s had a bit of a glow up. It’s not exact, but it’s as close as I could get it.
(remind me to add pictures of the patch alone once this is posted and i’m not on desktop)
hi!! i saw your bmc michael hoodie and i was absolutely FLOORED because it looks so accurate and amazing!! i was wondering how you made it, if you were comfortable with sharing ? ive really wanted to make my own for a while if i couldnt find the right hoodie, but i never knew how to start! thank you sm!! <3
Thank you so much!!! Hearing that people appreciate the accuracy honestly makes my entire world. That was my entire goal when making the cosplay, so it means a lot.
For the hard part: I’ll be real with you. I couldn’t find the right hoodie either. I got a pattern for a hoodie and worked with my stepmom to modify it to the best of our combined ability to recreate the OG hoodie from the Two River production. It was a ridiculous amount of work, and I can’t say that I would recommend doing it if you aren’t as totally fixated on having a replica as I was.
If anybody wants, I’ll totally make a post about how I made it and how I deciphered/obtained the patches! It’ll just be lengthier than I can justify in an answer for an anonymous ask. ALSO: I don’t bite!!! Feel free to message me about any aspect of the outfit, and I’ll be more than happy to talk to you about it and/or provide more pictures! We gotta stick together in this hoodie hell.
Hey, do you ever read the word "cishet" as "Sishay" or is that just me?
this is the funniest ask ive ever received
