i love my dog bc taking care of him helps me take care of myself. he wakes up early and needs to go out so i get out of bed and walk him and get exercise to start my day. he likes fruits and vegetables so i buy and cook healthy food. he likes getting a bath n being all glossy so i bathe him and then shower and clean my bathroom afterwards. the animals u take care of take care of u too :)

It really is so, so true; an animal can make you take care of yourself.

It's kind of like, when the oxygen masks come down on an airplane, you put yours in before helping others, because you can't help others if you pass out. Having animals helps you take care of yourself so you can be around to keep them alive and happy.

Also, an object in motion stays in motion. They can motivate you to get out of bed and do things, and while you're doing things, you may as well take care of yourself! You have good food in the house, may as well eat it.

Animals are fantastic for people. They're amazing. And I'm glad your dog helps you stay healthy, because that's hard!
