Hey Jessa 💙 as a bartender you must hear the best pick up lines, so what's your favorite that you've heard?
“Oh, I know just the one!”
[Jessa invites you to lean in so she can whisper it to you.]
“Do I have your consent to flirt with you?”
What Subjects do you do?
My HSC subjects were Adv Eng, Ext Eng, Mathematics, Legal studies, Biology and Chemistry!
Congrats on finishing!! Which exam do u think u did the best in?
thanks so much!! eng is by far my best subject but i honestly have no idea how I went hahah
sorry if this is creepy. lately ive been thinking about my preferences and, im a girl who has never physically experienced any relationship with girls but am wanting to. recently i met someone who is rly cute n cool. I kinda wanna talk to her more but idk how to express its more than friends? idk what signs to look for in girls that show theyre gay either. i dont wanna make it weird asking them but.. yea. im autistic so body signals/tones are confusing. any advice for learning this stuff?
something i always do when i wanna figure out if someone is gay is i try to bring up being a wlw in a really casual manner to see how they respond. i’ll say like “oh my god… beyoncé is so hot” (or any female celebrity of your choosing) and see if they’re like “yeah!!”
but i’m also not smooth at all so idk if i’m the best person for this kind of thing. i walk around every day basically just shouting I’M GAY at anyone who will listen, so for the most part when other people are gay i find out pretty quickly on because they’ll just be like “bro me too!”
you could also maybe try messaging her and bringing up something she said that interested you. or if you’re feeling really bold you could even say something like, “hey, i think you’re pretty cool and cute. do you want to hang out sometime?”
you could invite her to something in a group setting at first too, and ask your friends if they notice a vibe between you or if they can help you interpret her body language. and see if *they* can subtly pull something gay out of her too lol. re: body language, some things to look for: if someone is interested in you, they’ll often mirror your posture. if you’re sitting next to someone on a bench or couch and they cross their legs toward you, that can (sometimes) be an indicator of attraction. them leaning toward you in pretty much any situation is a good sign too.
You give a lot of good advice! I hope you can help me. I'm a sex-repulsed asexual and I'm not comfortable seeing people make out/French kiss. It's not about sexuality, I just find the idea of putting someone's tongue in someone else's mouth repulsive. I don't want to ask people to stop because I'm uncomfortable. I just want to be able to explain why I'm *not looking at them kiss* without accidentally coming over as a bigot. I'll fight for your right to kiss, I just don't want to watch it happen.
you don’t have to watch anyone kissing, except for maybe at weddings when it’s a sort of mandatory social expectation that you watch and applaud as the couple seals the deal. weddings aside, making out in public is a huge social faux pas, so i can’t see any reason why you would need to explain yourself for looking away anyway.
that said, some of what you’re talking about makes it seem like you are specifically repulsed by gay people kissing - especially in your last few sentences where you mention not wanting to seem like a bigot/fighting for our rights. i will just ask you to investigate within yourself if you are more repulsed by watching gay people kiss, and why exactly you might feel that way.
i also kind of want to say that exposure over time can help soften the effects of repulsion/phobia (***AND I SAY THIS AS SOMEONE WITH A SEVERE PHOBIA, not as someone who thinks asexuality can be “cured” - i’m talking specifically about the repulsion and i just want to make that clear). i don’t think that means that you should go out of your way to find spaces where people might be kissing, but that maybe next time someone kisses in front of you, you can challenge yourself to look for a second longer than you might want to. no one is asking you to stare (staring is definitely weirder than averting your gaze in this situation), but it might be helpful for you to acclimatize to watching people kiss without imagining yourself in their place, as i think you’ll probably have to deal with seeing people kiss throughout your life.
and if it makes you feel better, the majority of kissing/making out is very tongue-light. if a kiss is just someone putting their tongue in someone else’s mouth, that’s a bad kiss, and it is gross. so your repulsion of that is totally valid & understandable, but just keep in mind that most kissing (even open-mouthed kissing) still isn’t french kissing, per se. at least not in my experience.
