I just got my first one the other day but it wasn't a brain swab it was just a cheek and regular nose swab so I was a bit relieved about that lol.

17: What was the last lie you told?I told my boss that I couldn’t talk to her on the phone earlier this week because my voice was gone. I was pretty sick but I definitely still could have talked to her on the phone. I just didn’t want to.
23: How do you vent your anger?Extraordinarily unhealthily haha. Usually it involves many shots of jameson and/or tequila. And yelling about it and sometimes crying about it. Luckily I don’t get angry too much.
29: Do you believe in ghosts? How about aliens?Ghosts I think probably are real. I have never really seen one… though I have seen and felt some things that were rather suspect. And I mean so many people see ghosts and I don’t think I can disregard that many people’s experiences.Aliens are for sure real. Somewhere in this gigantic, infinite, ever expanding universe there is intelligent life other than us. I don’t think they have come to Earth though. Unless it was like microscopic alien bacteria that came on an meteorite.

41: What was the last book you read?The last one I finished was Geekerella by Ashley Poston. Its a nerdy YA novel that was highly enjoyable but leaded a little too hard into some tropes. Currently I’m reading We Are Never Meeting In Real Life by Samantha Irby. Its a series of essays about her and her life and it is so fucking funny. So good. So Hilarious.I suggest you all read it. Also the author is a queer woman of color so thats always a plus. YAY!

I’ve made many ridiculously hard decisions but they are so different that I can’t really compare them. So I guess I’m going with 2 of them:There was the decision to move away from my family. Moving was me deciding to do something that was better for me than for other people. I was really kind of unhappy with my stagnant life at home. I mean I know it sounds cliché but I’ve been taking care of my brother and father since I was 14 and my mother died, so that was really fucking rough for me. I am still working on being ok with it cause there is a great big pile of shit going on with my family and right now I’m too far away to even try and help (not that I could help if I was there but sometimes my brain doesnt know that).Then the other one was kind of a decision to not hate myself...? I guess. Its hard to explain. I mean I, like most women, have had horrible thoughts about my body and my self for many many many years. But I made the conscious decision to try and stop myself whenever I think those things. Its not that I never think them, Its just that when I do, I make sure to go “What the fuck julia’s brain!? Thats unacceptable! Julia is amazing and worth so much more than that fuckin bullshit!” Its hard to kind of admit to myself that there was something more I could do about how I felt about myself. I’ve never had the urge to be remembered for all time or for some great accomplishment. I just want to be remembered by people that loved me. I want to be remembered as kind and good. I want people to remember my laugh and my smile. I kinda just want people to think that I made their life a little happier.
