A probably truly ridiculous amount, dear anon! I, too, am waiting for COTD, although mine is due to my place in line at my local library, and I must fill my heart and mind with our sweet boys in the meantime, so I'm reading and writing lots!

Okay, not only is Elle one of the sweetest people in the world, but she's just as much of a musical nerd as I am, so every beat of this story is soooo well thought out, a truly remarkable adaptation
Their character growths are just incredible as they both come into themselves and navigate their situations
They're so in love with each other (after some stumbles), and it's everything I want out of Elphaba and Glinda!
On Tour by CarpeDM
Band AU with really interesting handling of class, fame, friendship/relationships, and more
Really good handling of mental health/panic attacks (which. take care of yourself if that will be hard for you to read 🫶 I found it cathatic, but I know that may not be true for everyone)
I've read this fic 2-3 times, so you know the time commitment is worth it - I also followed along as chapters were being released, if that tells you how long I've been in these trenches
Kitchen Nightmares by @theroyalsavage
Honestly probably one of my all-time favorite fics, and one of the first ones I reread after recently climbing back into these trenches
The characterization are so, so, so good! Every single person in the story is spot on, imo, and their motivations are compelling
Pining. Will they/won't they. Nico in suits. Leo's chaos. Uncle Nico. Rivals to friends to lovers. Flirty Will. Nico on a motorcycle. All of these should be their own bullet point but whatever!!

BAMF Nico di Angelo (in soooo many different ways) and (basically) Girl Dad Will Solace
Really, really cool development/growth on both sides in the face of hurdles and significant life changes; and then there's a follow-up fic to see more!
If you've read my work, you know I loooooove family dynamics, and this story handles them in such nuanced ways
Fourth note because I couldn't leave it out but it didn't feel fair to have this be the third: Will's biceps! Oh my god!
Will Solace and Socialites of Olympus University Series by @sarcasmandships
The class dynamic is sooo well handled and really interesting to watch them navigate
Descriptions. Oh my god the descriptions. The metaphors, similes, imagery? Aspirational. I literally take notes.
The best depiction of relationship development that I've ever read. All of the little details like how you subconciously lean into each other? That weird time period where you both know what you're headed toward but don't make the jump yet? The navigation of time together vs. getting things done? Yeah, it's all there.

I had to topple over sideways a couple of times while reading just to cope, so you know it's good
The Nico & Valentina friendship you never knew you needed but you definitely need
Heartbreaking in a way that's realistic to demigods, but happy ending, I promise!! Plus there's a follow-up fic!

A current read because it's being released (final chapters today!!), and I will admit I beta-ed, so I'm probably kind of biased, but I think it's such a fun piece!
