You are lucky to have such a lovely crush. I had a crush – Nike – who turned out to be the embodiment of that which I detest. I suppose I got too caught up in the popularity and charming exterior to notice. The Goddess of Victory wants what is best for everyone but is too self-absorbed to make the necessary sacrifices. Light drifted through the windows of the library, painting long strips of shadows across the ground. The boy sat at a table looking out at the view but his mind was somewhere else. "Something on your mind?" You asked casually as you dropped your book bag under the table and took the seat next to him. "Hmm?" He turned to face you. He took a moment to collect himself. "Oh. I was just thinking about how seedlings always find their way to the light. Pretty neat, huh?"

Drabble Nonny, God bless you for being amazing! Fun fact, our first hang out outside of school was at the library, so this drabble is eerily appropriate! We ended up talking about Turkish telenovelas, his family history (he's Bulgarian), marriage expectations, medical school (he's a pre-med too), and communism. But he is really into the sciences, so I wouldn't be surprised if he started talking about them too!

So, who is this ice skating boy I have heard almost nothing about? ~ DN

I am so glad you asked, my dear Drabble Nonny! Ice Skating boy is my real life crush and is in fact the only guy I've ever had a real crush on! He's the kindest guy I know- he's the embodiment of light and sunshine and brightness. He's also a bit of a bastard who likes to tease me and an absolute memer. I adore him for his soul and personality. I could talk to him for hours and hours and I actually enjoy hearing what he says. I could listen to him drone on about anything really. I especially love when he explains things to me, like what's going on his mind and history and theories and what not. He's a brilliant guy. He's incredibly smart, especially in the sciences. He is also attractive to me, but he's not someone who you'd be drawn to because of looks at all. To be frank, he's pretty average looking. But to me, he's perfect.

The reason I dubbed him Ice Skating Boy is because I really, really want to go ice skating with him. However, that nickname is unintentionally brilliant as his name is the male version of my friend who has been ice skating since she was little and gets professionally trained for ice skating competitions.

What's the longest you have been in a fandom? I either lose interest or the fandom dies/rebirths after 6-12 months.

Hmm...so with Choices, I played the game for the entire 3 years it's been out, but I only interacted with the fandom and had a fandom blog for 1 year. I played Pixelberry games in general for 7 years.

I started playing Animal Crossing in 2013, but I haven't touched the game in a while save for briefly every so often, so I would say I played it more intensely for 4 years and I was very active in the fandom for 3 of those years.

I started playing Fire Emblem 4 years ago and I still play intensely every day, but I only interacted with the fandom more for 2-3 of those years.

I'd been playing Pokemon since I came to America, but I stopped a few years back. That's probably the longest game I continuously played, but I was only really part of the fandom for 3 or 4 of those years, when I watched Let's Plays.

So in terms of gaming time, Pokemon. In terms of fandom participation, either Animal Crossing or Pokemon.

I definitely get what you mean about losing interest or the fandom dying though. I've only been a huge part of two fandoms: Animal Crossing and Choices. The Animal Crossing fandom died because Nintendo likes to release a game like every 4 years and we haven't gotten a series AC game in 7 years, and with Choices I just lost interest.
