Big brother catching his little sister sniffing the cumstains on his bedsheets and letting her taste it fresh instead
omffmfgghh waittt.. this gave me an idea
greedy big brother… he has a partner, who he takes on romantic dates in public, introduces to their parents etc etc
but behind closed doors, he much prefers his cute little sister…….. everything he does to his partner, he does to her, too….. and then some more, because what his partner says no to, his sister won’t! right?
These are my thoughts about EJ/Gina/Ricky paralleling the frozen triangle:
If you really think about it, EJ was a superficial Hans (they sang liaod, he wasn't spending enough time with her and the promposal thing) and Ricky a superficial Kristoff (they sang wdykal, he was there). If you look more into it, EJ was fighting for their future and sacrificed that summer of fun for that, while Ricky was free and was there bc he didn't have anything else to do. And when you think about that, the parallels to the Hans/Anna/Kristoff love triangle feel so cheap. It's funny that Ricky wanted to sing liaod with her when in my eyes he is the Hans of the story.
Now, if you think about the prev seasons (s1 and s2), EJ is Kristoff and Ricky is Hans. Just like Hans, Ricky got her attention the first time she saw him (you can call it crush at first sight). They both bonded over shared home drama (Hans/Anna and Ricky/Gina). Ricky is the first crush gone wrong, who didn't reciprocate the feelings, while the right guy, EJ, was right there all along (with whom she didn't get along at first and didn't consider him a love interest until later; def not love/crush at first sight). EJ, just like Kristoff, brought her back (the plane ticket) just for her to get rejected by Ricky (he chose Nini over her), just like Anna by Hans. Idk, but these parallels feel much deeper and satisfying. The setup for s3 was right there but they tried to twist the story. What they did in s3 felt so cheap. Also, now adding the s4 plot (the hat plot) where Gina basically wrote to Ricky that she loves him (after knowing him for two months) parallels Anna wanting to marry a guy she just met (aka Hans).
BRO, YOUR MIND! This is such a wonderful, amazing take, I'm genuinely excited to discuss this.
I'd seen people talk about the Frozen parallels before, but I had never really cared that much, but this take! Oh, anon, this take is incredible.
I really don't have much to add, given that you've already pretty much dissected it to perfection, but I would like to say that it does make me sad that these parallels were not the ones in the show. I think mostly these parallels would've worked with longer seasons that were able to really flesh out each character into what they were reflecting. The dynamic of EJ and Gina was very similar to Kristoff and Anna's, down to the enemies to lovers and him bursting her bubble on her plans when they barely knew each other (on S1).
What really, ultimately, gets me about this show, is that it had potential to do great things with such amazing characters, but a lot of the it felt downgraded to cheap drama that had to bend over backwards to work.
What are you Bucktommy headcanons for episode 10?
Definitely Tommy comforting Buck at the hospital. I feel like we're going to see the relationship in all its emotionally supportive glory and buck is finally going to understand what it is for a partner to be truly all in.
The kissing is brilliant and i love it but I want Tommy to properly hold Buck for a solid five minutes.
On a lighter note I want them to sort of keep entering together implying they spent the night together or are just simply together all the time.
Does the bra match if there is one?
😜
Oh damn 300 followers already? Welcome aboard you sickos and cuties 😘
just wanted to tell you I follow you since before The OA was cancelled and I miss it sm and every time I see you on my dash you remind me of that great show :) and I really enjoy seeing you around! hope you have a great day
the oa was always meant to be several things. it was meant to be a cyclical story, with its ending in its beginning, folding back in on itself. it was meant to have cracks, gaps, spaces in the narrative, and that space was meant to invite us in, to be a part of the story. the oa was never about just a story. it was meant to be a seed of hope. and in its ending--an ending that came much sooner than any of us ever wanted--was a new beginning. the oa was always meant to be about life, about community, about people coming together. so as long as we are doing that, as long as we keep telling stories and connecting in community and planting little seeds of beauty and hope and perseverance in this world, i believe we are keeping the oa alive.
I am new to dragon age lore
Could you tell be the major regions in nutshell
if you convince Josephine Montilyet to take a long walk around Skyhold’s battlements with you, she will easily share that while Tevinter keeps the qunari forces from Par Vollen at bay, both have the most lovely spices that you’ll find on either side of the Waking Sea. Tevinter, while vilified for its rule by magister, is technologically advanced and full of cultural refinement that has surpassed its neighbors. the free elves of the southern nations will divulge, however, that Tevtinter’s advancement was not without cost, and That Cost is the widespread use of forced labor which the nation relies upon so much they engage in illicit international slave trade to this day.
at this point in the conversation, if you ply the Lady Ambassador with carastian candies, she will admit that Orlais, while also imperialistic, would like you to believe they are far more civilized about their class system. Empress Celene opened up universities to elven students, after all, and only razed the alienage in Halamshiral to the ground once. instead of rule by magister overlords, the southern chantry relies on circles to keep their mages trained and maintained (and contained), and its reach extends to other nations in the south, the influence felt must strongly in the Free Marches.
Ferelden threw off Orlesian occupation… oh… around the turn of the age? the people of Ferelden remain proud of their ungovernability, and the Ferelden bannorn is unique from the feudalism of Orlais and the Marches in that the ownership of the land lies not in the hands of the nobility but the farmers themselves.
the Marches revel in their rowdy spirit of freedom. each city from Kirkwall to Wycome is in fact its own city state, and where one might expect some consistency in the structures of each sovereign principality, instead the rulers are named anything from Viscount to Duke to the supposedly humble designation of Prince. even so, the region comes together every 1000 days in the tradition of the Grand Tourney where combatants entertain their lords with feats of martial skill.
piracy ravages the coasts, and your Antivan diplomat will cluck her tongue at the lawlessness of raiders and insurrectionists alike. but where there is danger, there is beauty, and when she thinks about setting sail to the horizon and exploring the lands beyond the edges of the map, she looks off into the sunset and sighs. “From Sea To Shores, We Tame The Waves,” she whispers breathily, then, self-conscious, blushes as she looks back to you and explains the words are her family’s motto. for, like any good Antivan family, the Montilyets rely on charm, trade, and the mastery of the seas.
she will insist the best wines come from Antiva, but she may be biased, after all.
