Like come on guys, let’s be realistic. in reality him and Lando are different sides of the same DAMN coin. He’s a rich white pro athlete. oscar is kind of the perfect storm for the babyfication of drivers. he perfectly falls into the typical fandom "character" typecasting with his "stark" nerdy contrast to lando's unfiltered edgelord mannerisms even though he can be as dirty-minded and tongue-in-cheek as ln4 is, he just tends to have better restraint 😭
i think a lot of it depends on the attention to detail, i.e. shyboy in the streets, freak in the sheets. oscar doesn't fit the endless party fuckboy archetype like lando does and god knows i hate the whole iceman thing, but i *could* envision a hypothetical where he moves through partners just bc he doesn't get attached to them. would he show himself off with sexual undertones like lando often does? unlikely. could he enjoy receiving attention internally? yeah sure why not. still waters run deep, an onion has many layers, etc etc
i also think a lot of oscar's mannerisms (either from his sisters or his age, hard to say) easily pass as virtue signaling - like woah, he liked a pic of two female athletes getting married! - and infuse him with that early gen z socially conscious flavor, even though his political portrait is vague and his upbringing is White, Straight (on most days), Guy, Super Rich Family, Rich Country. i knew all of that and i still wrote him as a trans guy so like lol lmao
anyways. i think we could all benefit from fiddling with the tropes and subverting them instead of hard-leaning into overused fandom fodder. oscar is a self-described boring guy but let that not stop us from psychoanalyzing him for kudos and giggles
