17. Tell me about one of your TTRPG Player Characters. Or, if you don't play, tell me about an idea you have for one.
I DM a lot but I have been playing more recently so I’ll go with a recent PC:
Marten Vandersloot is a grizzled older man who gains his Paladin powers from a drive to find out the truth in a society ravaged by a plague let lose by the old political and religious authorities. He’s a really different personality type for me to play because he’s pretty quiet and straightforward and confident but not arrogant. (My comfort zone is wizards or artificers who are smart and annoyingly know it).
I really like playing an older character too because one of Marten’s values is trying to protect especially younger characters from some of the pain he’s endured so I’ll often have him run into danger to save, say, our party’s cleric. If Marten dies he dies lol.
