oww this would make such a good au or one shot like imagine James coming back to life but has forgotten everything, twisted by dark magic to make him fearful of all that he originally held dear to him.

Now think of James hiding in the shadows, avoiding all his remaining friends and Regulus trying to come near him only for James to flinch back. Regulus thinking himself as a monster and that’s why James hates him, ran away when he first saw him.

James running away in the wood where the ritual to revive him took place scared and confused not even knowing who he is

give me a scared and confused James trying to make sense of a falling apart world that he had no memory off, dogging people in masks and dark cloaks trying to kill him when he had no idea why

give me a guilt filled Regulus falling apart when the only person who ever fully trusted him looks him in the eye fearful and and afraid, Regulus who thinks it’s all his fault and James hates him and what he has done

another gut wrenching story filled with agony and pain

“a great big tragedy”

one full of confusion and misunderstanding, one where horrors come to life.

one where Regulus was always destined to miss the sun, just by a little bit
