why do you think you're invincible?
"Because, young Maelle, I am but the strongest. See before you my claimed trophies." *Gesturing to the legion of polished feet before them* "My lovely trophies of battles where a lesser warrior would have fallen, and yet, here I stand." *Sitting down on a rock to procure a rag.* "Each scuffle, battle and joust is but a lesson taught physically. Every Nevron tells a tale. You see me use my skill to take the brunt, but what you do not see is this: each and every strike across this canvas I make with their forms, their stokes of chroma, is my way of honouring their defeat - and my victory."
"Invincible may be the wrong word to describe me. I would consider myself akin to a mountain. A mountain doesn't move for the ant, yet it houses trees which strangle the earth with their roots. Predator and prey alike hunt and chase across my back without making a fuss of my labouring. The rivers erode my flesh to join with the sea and yet...the mountain stands tall, on sentry. Watchful over millennia."
*Pondering for a moment.* "Hm...yes, I am a mountain. So what are you?"
