I just wanted to say hello and thank you for creating and maintaining this blog. I've been having an absolute perfectionist meltdown this week, and non-perfectionists' chastising only makes me feel more self-loathing and guilty. Reading through other peoples' experiences with perfectionism and having a space full of reaffirmation that mistakes are okay and external praise doesn't have to mean anything has finally given me a measure of peace. Thank you, thank you. Take gentle care, all.

I don't need you to respond or post this or anything, I would just like to thank everyone involved in this blog. I don't expect it to update often, I know that all of you have important things to do and that running a blog can just add extra stress, especially for people with perfectionist traits, I just... want to say thanks. For being here and existing. It's important that this place is here.

Not going to lie, when I first seen this blog I found it a little offensive. Probably because I'm just figuring out this whole "I'm struggling with perfectionism" crap and it sucks. But seeing you guys there for ppl like me makes me happy. Thank you

Perfectionism is such a misunderstood issue and I have only recently discovered it in myself (and am now discovering it in everything that I do). So finding this blog just now full of quotes/memes that hit home harder than anything else actually makes me cry with happiness, cuz someone gets it, and my favorite animal is the polar bear. No need to publish this, just wanted to express unending gratitude. I will be stalking this blog from now on.

How are spelling mistakes triggering? I thought triggers were like violence, rape, etc. What does bad spelling trigger?? (I don't get it :()

I think that when people write in its because it is a trigger to their perfectionism, clasically I wouldnt call this a trigger (unless of course it sets off your OCD or another distrcutive behavior) 

As I said and continued from the pervious anon-ask, we generally don't take down memes unless we have really spesific complaints (and even then its not to suggest that mistakes are not okay but as blog admins we have a duty to keep all of you guys kind of happy! Hey, new PPB meme "Conflicting demands, which failure do i choose?!" and ergo I guess that is a lesson in moderation and compromise which is not failure and even if it is - whom cares, failure is part of success!)

Anyway, sorry that was long! (Sorry I'm so apologetic!)

EDIT: Additionally my advice is, if you are actually triggered by mistakes then please take care of yourself and simply unfollow, your health and well being is worth more than a meme blog!

I thought PP wasn't removing posts because of spelling errors previously. Has this policy changed? Because removing things because they have mistakes in them tells me that mistakes really are insufferable and I cannot allow them. Everything I did when I was young was removed if it wasn't absolutely perfect. I was picked and picked at until I was as close to perfect as they could get me. They removed any flaws and mistakes. Removing flaws and mistakes by admin enforces the idea itsnotoktohavethem

Hey hey anon mistakes are TOTALLY totally okay. 

It is Perfectionist Polar Bear Policy (mmmm alliteration) to generally not take down posts for spelling mistakes! 

I’m really sorry if this has been confused lately and I’m sorry for not being around more as mod, between K leaving, the meme generator being down and other things I really do apologize! 

I’m going to work on this and put a reminder out as a post because we do occasionally get a slew of angry/upset anons about the spelling mistakes (I take a while to respond because I find the criticism hard to deal with - sweet irony!)  

However, I promise you, as long as I am mod you will at least get a spelling or grammar or some other mistake from me at least once a week! 

I’m sorry you went through such harsh regulation when you were young, it was awful of them and it is more than ok to have inperfections because that is what makes things. truely makes things. 

If the universe was Perfect as in, without flaws, imperfections  imbalances, there would be no life at all throughout the universe and would be no difference in one direction from the other or I guess, there would be no directions at all because space would be the same in all places everywhere.
