hiii, this is such a fun question omg🥹sorry for such a late response, this got a little lost in my inbox but i really did want to spend some time on it! this response is a little long...

i can't play a game unless i am attached to my main characters, so i've spent a lot of time building up my save file and world building. in my mind, chestnut ridge represents the southwest united states, which is where safiya is originally from, while brindleton bay, evergreen harbor, and copperdale represent the east coast (particularly new england). this is how it works in my mind, so i try not to play in worlds other than these. britechester and san myshuno are a few hours north / south of them! for my main sims, i just built off of the personalities i gave them in CAS and also implemented in characteristics from characters in other media that i like. this is so random but these were some of the inspos for my sims HAHA. i also try to give both safiya and jude traits in myself, since it's easier for me to relate & play with them! for example, i really enjoy music and swimming, so i try to show this with my sims. over time i feel like they've developed more into their own personalities.

i did the same for safiya and jude's friends! even just thinking about a few simple traits is enough. i really recommend creating a club for your sims and their friends, since it's easy to gather them all together that way. some mods i recommend for friendships include girls talk and guys talk by annasiims, dynamic teen life by adeepindigo, and hang out and chat on bed by simkatu.

when it comes to making relatives in game, i usually just use the genetics feature in CAS if i want the relative in the same household as my main sim. you can also use MCCC to add relationships with pre-existing sims. this video is a great tutorial that shows you how to use it :) to add more to your sims' lore, i recommend using lumpinou's expanded milestones and then adding them to your sim by right clicking on the milestones tab with UI cheats. i also like to use UI cheats to add levels to certain skills. my favorite mods that add in some personality are: talents & weaknesses and lgbtqia+ overhaul by lumpinou, timelines, romantica, and origins by ellesimsworld, and healthcare redux and divergent sims by adeepindigo.

i also like to take storyline aspects from media i really like... i can't tell you how many things that've happened so far have been inspired by my fave tv shows/movies/fanfics... same thing goes with tropes! i love slow burn and friends to lovers so naturally that's what i decided on. thank u for being patient with me and i hope this long reply has been helpful ദ്ദി╥ ᴗ ╥)

and could i ask how you get those dark-looking screens? is it a preset setting? a filter or setting in photoshop? apologies if im too curious.. it's bc that drives me crazy when my screenshots don't look like it's nighttime... >.<

hi, no need to apologize! it can be so frustrating when screenshots don't turn out the way you hoped because of lighting!

whenever i take screenshots for scenes in the nighttime, i alwayssss make sure it's actually night in my game! if you don't feel like waiting that long in game, i suggest going into build/buy mode and changing the time of day there :) also, ultimate relight is a big game changer. i make sure to change this setting whenever i want it to be extra dark in my screenshot.

Hi may I ask what are some of your fav effects to edit with , I saw you use Light leak which i am so grateful you mentioned it really helped with pics and stuff , just wanted to ask if you have other cool ones?

I get all my effects from pinterest and I recommend looking up "border overlays" or "edit overlays" to get some cool ones :) ! Make sure to put them as either the Lighten or Screen (for images using pure black) blend mode.

hii! firstly, i adoreee your posts! they always look so lovely! secondly, do you have a photoshop template or resource that you use for your Life Is Strange UI? like when a picture has the butterfly and "this action will have consequences..." or in your most recent post with the options "break curfew" or "go home" with the mouse in the middle. they're so cute!!

thank you so much! i don't use a template for these, but i did get the icons off of google / pinterest! just search up "life is strange cursor/butterfly/icon png" and they should come up :) the text that i use for these is also dudu calligraphy, which you can download here!

i just took multiple photos but changed the color of the relight i used! afterwards, i put them together as a gif in photoshop. it helps to have a base image of the picture you take with no relight as well. if you put this at the very bottom of the layers, the colors will be more uniform.
