OK, fuzzyzergling has set up an ask-screening blog, which you can access from the Talk to Me link on the left! And I've closed asks/submits on this blog, of course.
I also figured I might as well allow replies, since I won't see them anyway. Does that defeat the purpose? Well, maybe a little, but I figure it could be a good place for comments like "hahaha, you don't even know" or "oh man, I can't wait until you get to this part". :P
Ask Screener
OK, I still haven't heard back from my ask screener, and I really don't know what's going on there.
So: is there anyone else out there who would be willing to be my ask screener for Ava's Demon?
If you're not sure what an ask screener is, check out the section in the FAQ (and I added a section about spoilers earlier, which is also relevant).
I also made a post about my suggested ask-screening method earlier.
I'm going to temporarily reopen asks/submits, so if you'd like to be an ask screener, just say so, and give me your email address or some other good way to contact you. (Don't worry, I'll keep all contact info private.)
In the meantime, please hold all other messages until I get this ask screener thing sorted out!

Ask Screening Method
To keep things consistent over multiple webcomics & ask screeners, I think it'll be best to have a single ask-screening blog that serves as a center for asks and stuff, and add ask screeners as admins to that blog. This way, I can say "If you want to talk to me, go here" and that'll stay constant, though different people may run the blog in different ways or with different styles. I won't be involved with this blog at all, except perhaps in setting it up, so ask screeners will be able to post spoilers there with impunity.
Ask screeners will then send messages on to me; using email is probably best for me, though I'm also open to other methods. I'd prefer to receive the text of the messages rather than screenshots, so I can copy/paste from them and so links and stuff are preserved.
Also, since Disqus has a built-in moderation system, it would be nice to add ask screeners as moderators for that and set it so comments need to be approved to show up.
This means that ask screeners need both tumblr and disqus accounts, but I don't think that's too much trouble. If it is, I'm sure we can work something out. (Also, adding someone as a mod seems to require their email address, regardless of whether or not they already have a tumblr account. So that may make things either easier or harder.)
This will never be set in stone, though; how you ask screen is ultimately up to you. :)
So, what do you all think? Are you OK with this, do you have any questions or suggestions?

How being an ask screener works is pretty much up to the ask screener, I guess. What I do with Lobac is have a separate blog that people send asks to, so I can provide feedback about why a given ask is spoilery and stuff like that, and send her screenshots via email. I believe ask screeners for other liveblogs generally just go through their inbox and delete anything spoilery.
Hmmm, but since I'll probably change ask screeners fairly regularly, it would probably be best for the method to stay fairly consistent to make it easy to transition between them.
So I'm not really sure what I'll end up doing, but any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

Yeah, that's fine. I'm not entirely comfortable reading fanfiction, though, so just the ones that don't use canon characters and stuff.

Ask Screeners
Well, I'm starting to approach the end of my liveblog of Power Nap — there's maybe a week or two left? I was planning on doing CRFH next, since I already started it, but I want to have an ask screener once I start liveblogging webcomics that I'm not caught up on. To be honest, for now, I'd probably be fine without one, but I don't really want to take that chance.
Lobac helped me realize that it's probably not too likely that I'll find someone who will ask-screen for every webcomic I liveblog, since reading webcomics can be a significant commitment (especially if they started in 1999 like CRFH), and most people are probably just going to want to ask screen for their favorite webcomics, not any arbitrary webcomic. If I want to find ask screeners, I can't be picky about what webcomics I want ask screeners for.
So it looks like which webcomic I liveblog next will probably be determined by which one(s) I can get an ask screener for, whether it's from my to-do list or not. So if there's a webcomic you could ask screen for, please tell me! :) And if there's a webcomic that you particularly want me to liveblog, perhaps you could offer to ask screen for it? ;)
I realize that this rather diminishes the impact of the to-do list and of suggesting webcomics for me to liveblog, but I don't want to discourage people from suggesting comics even if they can't or don't want to ask screen for them. We'll see how this works out. If nothing else, the to-do list could serve as a pool of suggestions not for me directly, but for potential ask screeners.
I'll try to write up a new, more in-depth post about ask screeners sometime over the weekend, as well as a more succinct introductory post for new readers.
