Yep, he's a green tree python! I chose that species because I wanted a python for their chub(kdkydkydjgfdjt PYTHONS ARE THEIR OWN PILLOWS IT'S FUCKING ADORABLE) and I couldn't find any green ball pythons

I would've gone with something native to Japan, but my brain said that genetics are more important than the location. Also Japan has no green pythons, I don't think they have any green snakes either but I could be wrong.

I mean, also just bc they look mellow but have murder intent. That's why Izuku is a green tree python, the species as a whole said: no look and no touch. Will bite.
