Hey guys, long time no see. I hope everyone is doing well

Just wanted to leave a post about my absence. I been a bit of a rough time sine December as you know my grandma died, then other things happened that took me down mentally and emotionally. Just needed some time to recover, plus I have two kiddos to take care of, plus school and work that just added a lot over my shoulders.

But I'm feeling better now and I promise to come back over the weekend.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to work on my old posts, I know I owe some people some replies. So please forgive me for dropping them off. I would like to start fresh, and hopefully, make it better than before.

Anyways, in the middle of an appointment with my daughter, so I'll leave this here.

Sorry again for disappearing 😞 I'll try and make it up to you all.

Hey guys, I just wanted to stop by and say happy holidays to everyone here, and I hope you all have a great 2025.

I promised that I will be online, I just need some time as I just found out last night that my grandma passed away. So I'm just taking time to process and stay in touch with my family since they are living far away from me.

Anyway, didn't mean to bum things just wanted to update why I haven't been here.

[   🦈 ] —   Rin blinked a few times at the man as he was approached when he walked out of a store. When the man came to him, he had to buy a few things for his mom and sister.

He let out a soft, and embarrassed smile, a hand already reaching the back of his head as he scratched it, his red cheeks tinted.

"Aw man, thanks a lot. That's years of practice for you, hehe."

"Spoken like a true dork," he insists, poking Rin's cheek. "That's ok, just be careful not to fall asleep while getting some sun on the beach, lest someone might write it on your chest. With sunscreen. Like in that movie?" He's trying not to show his amusement, but he's having fun teasing Rin.

[ 🦈 ] — "Tsk, you're talking like I've never been outside in the sun before."

He scoffed and pushed the other's hand away from his cheek. He hated when people did that, it always made him fluster.

"Well, I've been in Australia for years, lived by the beach all my life so I think I can handle a little sun, plus there's no way anyone will ."

Well... that could have gone worse.. She thought silently, realizing she was still mostly on her feet, and not, in fact, sprawled out on the pavement.

...It could also have gone slightly better... Her mind added on, upon realizing she was also still.. very much in the personal space of a complete stranger. An awkward warmth washed across her face as pale eyes finally turned up to look at the young man. "oh... y- yes, I'm fine.. sorry. really." She stammered out an answer to his concern as she hurriedly got her feet back underneath her. At least he didn't seem angry at her little intrusion on his day.

"...I'm starting to think someone doesn't want me to make it to this festival..." She laughed, a small attempt to defuse the awkward atmosphere.

[   🦈 ] — Rin waited patiently for the girl to gather her bearings as she was almost run over by a cyclist. That idiot should've seen where they were going. But at least he managed to help her and avoided falling onto the sidewalk and hurting herself further.

He let out a smile as she said she was fine and quickly apologized, the redhead shook his head,

"Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault."

The swimmer then let her go once she was able to stand on her own before looking at her in surprise...

"Festival? There's a festival around here?"

She lowered her phone and stared at it in surprise. The sincerity laced in the other's tone sounded like a different language for a moment. Satsuki couldn't stop the minute of doubt that passed through her. It was something she wasn't used to recently, stressed out as she was, with a certain pro basketball player.

This world still had kind people in it (no, really).

"Er..." The phone was against her ear again, but the hesitance remained. Could she ask that favour or was this where she ought to be more cautious?

It was the flash of distant lightning, a firework in the sky, that jolted her into deciding. "Um... if you're in Tokyo... and you wouldn't happen to have an umbrella on you, by any chance?"

[ 🦈 ] — At the silence Rin wondered if he was out of like. Like who would want to meet up with a total stranger at a time like this. He probably got her nervous especially since she was supposed to talk to someone else.

He opened his mouth to apologize for asking such a rude thing, he heard her voice over the phone and the loud crashing of thunder and lightning in the background.

"Yeah, I'm around Toyko. I'm close to Kichijoji Sun Road, the one where they have tons of places to eat. Can we meet there and I'll bring you an umbrella?"

"A-A little, but it's n-nice that you are. As it w-won't seem like you're p-pulling a prank...." She shakes her head. Her stutter was normal with her having it in normal conversation. "I-It's okay. I d-don't mind."

[ 🦈 ] — Rin looked surprised that she thought he was pranking her, he almost panicked because what wasn't what he wanted. So with a shake of his head, he explained himself more...

"Oh no, please don't think that. I wasn't trying to prank you or anything. I always saw you in this cafe near my training building and well...I thought you were pretty and today I got some courage to come and say hi to you."

At her answer, he grinned happily,

"R-really? You really want to go out with me?"

With a sigh Carell hung up, but saved the number anyway. He still had to get to class though so he would have to check back after class in about... an hour or so? Even still, he enjoyed this class so it wasn't to much of a problem.

After about two hours Carell pulled out his phone and stared at the number, contemplating calling again. He wasn't honestly sure he should. Yes he needed the notes, but did he need them that bad? Asking a classmate that shared the same class and asking a random number were two different things.

With a snarl Carell called back to see what potential help this Rin person was able to put together.

[ 🦈 ] — Once he managed to get what he needed from his friends, Rin waited until the stranger called him back. He supposed it was weird to do such a thing for someone he didn't know, let alone see...but the guy sounded desperate. And Rin knew how the felt whenever he couldn't finish what he needed to do.

He was leaving the gym after a two-hour training session when Rin felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He then took it out and frowned at the new number, the swimmer then remembered.

The redhead picked it up with a grin,

"Hey stranger, I found what you were looking for. There's this library close to Main Street that has all the information you need. Do you know where it is?"
