71. can you curl your tongue?: yep. and as i was thinking about this question i found out i can also do the clover thing with my tongue.

82. favorite type of cookie?: snickerdoodles. fun to say, fun to eat. i’m also just a sucker for cinnamon. 

86. dj or band, at a wedding?: i really want to say band, because hello, band nerd here, but here’s the thing. my dad would want to be in it. which means along with music that i would love to hear that a dj may not have permission to use, i have to expect some cheesy viet love ballad, some cheesy spanish love ballad (my bet is gonna be on “besame mucho”), or “la bamba” at the reception. but at the same time i’m gonna have to be very picky with the dj because two of my biggest pet peeves are bad song transitions and awful speaker quality (which is inevitable). and hiring a dj also leads into dangerous territory, including but not limited to the “cha cha slide”, “the cupid shuffle”, and “single ladies”.

41. when was the last time you ate a cupcake?: tbh, i actually don’t remember? i think it’s been at least a couple of months. that’s…disappointing.

92. do you want to get married?: heck yes. i am so excited to live a cute domestic life with my partner; you have no idea.

85. are you patient?: depends. i think i’m better with being patient when it comes to handling other people’s emotions.

57. do you believe in ghosts?: yup.

79. what was the last concert you saw?: faculty recital last weekend :P

62. what do you wear to bed?: usually a t-shirt and shorts. lately it’s been so cold in my room i also wear a hoodie. 

33. are you one of those people who never drink soda?: i’m trying to drink more water but i get serious cravings for something bubbly every once and a while.

63. first concert?: hilary duff at the houston rodeo. it was lit.

5. did you hang out with the person you like recently?: i totally did not spend time at any point in the day today with @wolfmagic48​. nope, definitely did not hold hands or be music nerds together whatsoever. it’s like i never see her at all. weird.

4 - a song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about: “somebody that i used to know” - gotye. i remember right my first ex broke up with me, she posted online about this song summed up her love life and even though i’m over how toxic that relationship was i remember that very vividly because i could tell that it was directed towards me (i’m pretty sure i was the victim, but the sentiment still hurt)

20 - a song that has many meanings to you: “viva la vida” - coldplay. it reminds me of said-ex, because she loved coldplay. it reminds me of karaoke sessions with my siblings in our childhood home and with my high school friends at our lunch table in the courtyard. it reminds me of hetalia amvs. it reminds me of growing up and facing reality, or something profound like that.

that’s a tall order, anon! here we go:

e - easiest person to talk to: my sister. we joke about how we’re actually soulmates/the same person. 

r - reason to smile: i wrote my first piano cover a couple of months ago and i’m learning it now, and the more i think about it and play it for myself i’m actually really proud of myself and how i’ve progressed as a musician (also, i got the original band to sign a physical copy of the sheet music when i met them last month. that’s a pretty good reason to smile).

s - song last sang: at ikea today they were playing viva la vida by coldplay and i just can’t not sing along to that song. 

magnolia - favorite kind of candy: i really like fruity ones. my favorites are dum dums (esp. cream soda flavor) and bottle caps. 

azalea - what’s a movie you cried while watching?: i can find any reason to cry during any movie, but finding dory had my crying within the first 5 minutes.  

heliconia - do you like it when it rains?: i do, but i like it when it rains when it’s colder rather than warmer outside. i live in a really humid city and the extra moisture + heat is not very pleasant. 

garden party: hmm… for this i wanted to go more toward *garden* party than garden *party*, y’know? like, you’re just chilling with your lil sprouts. maybe reading a good book. (some of the songs are a little on the nose, but eh, my laptop’s dying and it’s 3am right now)

i more or less identify as a nonreligious theist, which basically means that i am spiritual without following a particular religion. i believe some monotheistic doctrines bc i grew up catholic but i also believe in some pagan stuff

when i’m inspired i do draw every now and then but i keep to pixel art and little doodles of my face. i dabble in domestic arts like sewing, crochet, and cross-stitch. but i’m definitely a musician.

i like both? i have both

geez, i don’t even identify with a house (i’m pretty sure i would be a muggle anyway). i guess if i had to pick an animal for that it would be a cat or a fox?? otter sounds nice too

i honestly don’t know. some things i love quickly than others, but then sometimes i can easily fall out of love, y’know? it depends

Hi! We've never talked before, but I go to school with you and I really admire you for ebing who you are unapologetically and I was wondering if you ever feel excluded or anything at school b/c you're trans and a lot of people know that

surprisingly, no, i really haven’t. what’s great about our school is that despite the whole all-girl’s catholic school thing, we’re generally really open-minded folks and as a community we’re pretty adamant about celebrating each other’s differences. so since i came out, i’ve been treated pretty much the same as i was before i came out.

it’s kind of odd for me to describe my gender this way, but while i’m really conscious and protective of myself and my identity, i also don’t make a big deal about it. i kinda treat it like a fun fact sometimes, because it has no bearing on my personality or anything, y’know? :0 i’ve always been unapologetic about who i am, before i knew i was trans.

so i guess i’ve never really felt excluded because i know who i am, and i surround myself with people who respect that and make me feel safe (and that’s actually a lot of people, students and teachers alike). and if people at school aren’t as welcoming, then i’m not gonna bother or make a fuss about it. it is what it is. and they don’t go out of their way to bother me, either. 

i’m actually really glad that a lot of people know though. because of the school we attend, the idea of having a trans kid seems basically unthinkable. it gives a lot of people who aren’t as exposed to lgbtq+ issues the opportunity to learn about the gender spectrum because lemme tell ya, it wasn’t talked about as much as it should’ve been in morality. my existence really opens people’s eyes to these kinds of things, and makes it more real and validating. so i’m thankful that i’m so visible in the community, and that saa is very accepting of it.
