I have to say I completely disagree that making things pretty/study aesthetic is a waste of time. I'm a very visual person, and the main reason I follow studyblrs is to get visual inspiration to work. Seeing a nice, neat desk or pretty notes really motivates me to actually get work done much more effectively than a list of study tips ever could.
I totally agree with you. I’m a very visual person too and I feel inspired when I see these beautiful notes or a tidy study area, it motivates me to try harder and study better. But I also find the tips very helpful, especially when I don’t know exactly how to do something. Tips on how to write an essay, or how to get it together after a failure are always welcomed, even when they all kinda say the same things.
I didn’t realize how much I appreciate cute notes and stuff until now that we talk about it. So, since I’m not the only one that benefit from that, I’m gonna reblog more pretty (or not so standard-pretty) pictures!
Have a great day!

I've noticed a lot of people refer to 'learning styles' but its all rubbish. The best way to revise and learn something it by recalling it from memory. We do not have 'learning styles'.
Well, it’s the means you prefer to use to learn something in order to recall it easily from memory. I personally can’t pay attention to learn something if I don’t see it written. So, yeah. Every person is different, even in the way they learn stuff and if they want to categorize their preferred ways to study on a “learning style”, I think they should have the right to do that.

I love your blog! It's really helped me this past week when I was completely certain that I was going to fail all of my finals. Buuuuut I did actually end up failing one, and got a C+ in the class. I'm feeling a little depressed because I'm worried I'm going to lose a scholarship (it was introduced in my state the one semester I managed to get all A's, so I've had it for all of... one semester). Any tips on how to help with the anxiety/self-hate feelings?
Hey! I recently failed one and I know how you feel. Since I don’t have all the answers, I was searching on some fellow studyblrs to find a way to feel better. And I found this! I really believe that it can help you.
Take care and love yourself!

Thanks for the tip on Mendeley. I have a daughter going to college soon, and I have been following college students here. I am also an academic veteran. Best of luck to you in school! I hope your organization also goes well.
Oh thank you so much! I’m glad I could help. Good luck to your daughter! If you need anything, don’t hesitate to send a message!

Say I want to do more diagrams and sketches for my notes, but I'm not a fan of how my pens look with sketching and such and need to go shopping for school supplies anyways. What should I buy to make my notes as amazing as yours?
Thanks :) I literally use whatever pen I find! The ear drawing has been done with the pilot v5 hi-tecpoint pen and then I added some color with a bunch of color pencils I found in a drawer!
As for my highlighter preferences, I really love the staedtler ones. I also think that these pens are really good and smooth.
Have a great day!
