I prefer original art, to give your drawing style room to flourish
I feel that i don’t have a style yet. i’m doing a lot of different styles in refs FOR my own to flourish. i am working on an original right now though

Hey by any chance... are u the same person who plays overwatch with “ladyalyssia” on pc? If not feel free to disregard this ask
Don’t worry, because HELLO DAD YOU FOUND ME. Do you mind not showing mom the art on this blog or tell her about it? Some art on here I don’t want to show her just yet, including her Christmas present.

The mist was thick over the harbor. They let their kite float on soft breezes where it bobbed before dropping like a stone into the water. Their friend turns to them and asks "why in the world would you fly a kite over a lake when no one can see it."
this is strangely poetic. i love this. thank you.

Suggestions I have for youtube relating to...
Maybe file submission could allow for timing adjustment but no other edits (besides reporting bad lines, perhaps?). I’ve had a few times where I captioned a video and then downloaded that file to put the same captions on a video of the same thing that was cut differently (so all the timings in my original file would have been off if I hadn’t adjusted them).
Yes, that would be a nice to only allow reporting craptions. How Youtube seems to cope with those bad line reports is to revert back to the previous version. But how many versions with bad lines does it take for that automatic system to revert all the way back to auto? Or nothing? I hope that part is fixed. There seems to be no one regulating Youtube lately, algorithm or otherwise.
As for the timing, I’ve had this problem transferring from Amara to Youtube last year, and even within Amara itself. Amara is like an overlay on top of youtube so we’re using the same video and yet I get a timing readjustment I never asked. I am very precise and even then the Amara player itself makes my lines delay or appear too early. Even if it is a fraction of a second, I include many sound effects and this irritates me. It’s perfect in the editor but not in the player.
I usually would use the Youtube editor to make readjustments because they’re even more precise than Amara, and that wavy line showing the sound’s volume has been very helpful in those times. But then I got sick of adjusting more than 70 lines just a smidge of a fraction of a second and stopped captioning for a while, hoping Amara would fix it. And no, it’s still there. So I just sort of sucked it up.
Are you using a free site or software? That might be a factor as to why this happens. I use Amara and SRT, which is a simple text only file and contains no special text like italics or bolding or underline. I heard there are other extensions but I use SRT because both Amara and Youtube can accept them. Amara has lots of options but Youtube has its limits as to which type of subtitle can go into their system. I’m guessing SRT isn’t as specific with their timing. You can even make them on notepad without any software, but you have to type every number for the timing yourself.
Also, Youtube Red seems to allow that special text, along with playing multiple lines that last a short time in succession, while regular youtube doesn’t. I saw it in some previews of their series. Even different placement on the screen. But they don’t have fan submissions because they actually have a team behind that. Maybe their support team just migrated there. Hope some of them come back.
