What fun facts can you share about the Gamers, either separately or as a team?

Not a ton of fun facts as they are big WIPs.

Some key important facts I do have though are:

Gabe (aka Sapphire Elephant) is Angel's brother, Delight's current boyfriend, and is one of Sweetheart's best friends. He's also the only Gamer who knows about her secret relationship with Bitterbat as well as her civilian identity.

Michael (aka Emerald Buffalo) is Dear's brother. He is completely unaware that Dear is a Beloved. He and Gabe butt heads a shit ton.

The name "Gamers" is an acronym that stands for "Giant Alpha Monster Encounter Robot Squad"

Bitterbat and Gabe are Friends right?

Yeah Bitterbat and Gabe are chill.

Gabe is one of Sweetheart's best friends with them keeping in touch even after Angel's death. He fully understands everything that happened and has no hard feelings about it since he knows that accidents happen and the Beloveds did all they could.

And a friend of Sweetheart is a friend of Bitterbat.

Bitterbat and him had a rocky start as kids but eventually, once Bitterbat realized Gabe had no romantic feelings towards Sweetheart and 100% only sees her as a friend, he realized the guy did indeed pass the vibe check.

He's also like...the only person who knew from day one about the Licorice's romantic relationship even without either of them telling him about it since he can just tell that sparkles in Sweetheart's eyes when she looks at Bitterbat are a lot more than just her magical girl magic.

Bitterbat and Gabe don't hang out super heavily but they are on good standings and talk from time to time. Gabe also helps in the background with keeping Sweetheart and Bitterbat's relationship a secret from the other heroes.

Is angel still alive in the civilian au?

If yes it's low-key kinda funny that she's like the only friend in the group without a villain partner

I imagine she would be alive still since she died in battle as a Beloved. If she ain't a Beloved, then there ain't any battle for her to die in.

And both Angel AND Darling don't have villain partners. Darling is dating Gabe tho (who is a hero in canon and potentially this AU) so Angel remains the only Beloved without a partner but she don't mind it.

Are Bitterbat and Gabe on good terms?

Oh yeah they buddies.

Ironically, their friendship started after the murder attempt and just took off from there.

They get along great since Bitterbat has someone he can gush about Sweetheart to.

In present day-they are still pals and Gabe tends to help Sweetheart and Bitterbat out with keeping their relationship a secret since he's like...the only other hero outside of the Beloveds and the Daring that know about it.

The rest of the Gamers have no fuckin' idea tho but that's for the better. Not because they'll snitch but because they all juggle braincells and would probably accidentally out them.

i noticed on toyhouse that you gave the gamers civilian names, may i ask how did you choose them?

I just gave them names that have vague (and I mean VAGUE) angelic counterparts to match Gabe and Petra (aka Sapphire Elephant and Angel)

Since Gabe is the leader, I wanted to keep the angel name scheme going because...I dunno I just think it'd be fun.

The Gamers are also basically guardian angels for Decking City since they protect it from violent monsters that want to destroy it...also their mechs are like...huge and a lot to take in kind of like how I imagine angels if they existed.

Since Bitterbat and Sweetheart are based of off those old tropes of "villain with a crush on the magical girl" and those series' tended to have a very plain and vanilla "good boy" for the magical girl as well, was there anyone like that for a young Sweetheart? And more importantly, how badly did Bitterbat kick his ass?

That would be the Blue Elephant aka Gabe aka Angel's brother.

Sweetheart and Bitterbat had been crushing on each other for ages although Sweetie was def aware it wasn't appropriate for their alignments. But the heart wants what the heart wants.

That didn't mean she didn't try to disobey her heart and force her feelings toward someone else via going on a solo hang out with Gabe...which didn't work. It was awkward because there was just no romantic feelings. Bitterbat of course crashed the date but they both were very thankful it.

Gabe never had a crush on Sweetheart and viewed her only as a friend and the feeling was mutual. He was one of the few aware of Sweetheart's feelings for Bitterbat even if she never shared them out loud because she'd always get this sparkle in her eyes when she fought him that def did not look like hate.

As for Bitterbat kicking his ass, the closest he got was that very hang out session because it looked (and was meant to be a date) and welp...the concept of Sweetheart being with someone else made him a bit looney. Tho that was mainly because he could sense her love for him (that's lore to ramble about for another day tho...or ask. Whatever comes first)

Thankfully, Sweetheart managed to calm him down so Gabe never got hurt.

Now and days, Sweetheart and Gabe are best buds. He knew how much she loved Bitterbat and how hard their separation was so he kept in contact when the Beloveds were still broken up...unlike Delight aka Darling aka his current girlfriend. And Bitterbat and Gabe are on good terms since the bat man can now tell who feels romantically towards his sweetie and who are pals.

If I remember correctly Delight and Blue elephant are dating, could we hear more about that? Like how did they meet, how they realize they like one another, is Delight anything other than a bitch cause that boy better be being treated right, Are they a thing publicly?

I am still sorting out how Delight and Gabe actually fell in love but they def met through the Beloveds since Angel (Gabe's sister) was on the team.

So they've known each other for a while. They got together a little after high school.

Due to how public Cherished and the Gamers are, their civilian identities are known unlike the Beloveds who keep their identities separate so all of Decking City knows about them. They often get hyped up as the "Heroic Honeys". Gabe is way more humble and tends to avoid the limelight though (lowkey anxiety) so he does his best to deal with all the attention and questions.

THANKFULLY, Delight's bitchiness is only channels with the Beloveds. She is actually pretty nice to everyone else, especially Gabe, who sees a really sweet part of her. He's the only one who truly knows how much Angel's death hurt her and he tries to get her to patch stuff up with the old team but she struggles.

Other than their disagreements about the Beloveds, or her disapproval of him still being close friends with Sweetheart, they have a good relationship.
