Hello, forgive me if that question may appear as rude and inappropriate, but what are your overall thoughts on the shower scene from the movie Das Blaue Licht? Do you think that this scene was appropriate for a movie for children? Do you know for what reasons exactly the Servant of the Lamp (played by Christian Tramitz) pours cold water on Jakob (Christoph Letkowski)? Do you think the water was freezing in real life? Thank you for your attention.
Hi. I'm here to answer all kind of questions, so no I don't find it rude to be curious. It's part of the human nature. Also I would be a hypocrite if I say I find it rude because I AM extremely curious and I'm one of those people who wants to know all those weird details and more.
Ok, I'm gonna answer your questions one by one. And I'm gonna be extremely unfiltered and sincere. So...
My thoughts about the shower scene ??: At the time -when I watched it for the first time- it caught me off guard, unexpected , a bit "uncalled for", because it doesn't add anything to the story. Maybe the writer-Anja Kömmerling- wanted to show a bit of clumsiness or maybe to appeal to or attract teenager/young adult audiences ???Now in 2025, I see it as the writer wanted a bit of objectification ?? Don't know. After all it was a free adaptation. She could have added lots of more n*de scenes. And considering the spirit that gives the soldier all the powers was a dwarf, and the witch was meant to be h4nged...all those changes, including the addition of a shower scene ...well ...my guessing was because of Anja Kömmerling's own wishes. Lol.
This is her btw:
Appropiate for children?: To be honest I never asked myself that question. Until now. And I did a little search and I found out that it was rated "FSK -0", meaning for all audiences ???WTF ? No , I don't think it is appropiate for all audiences. I would say FSK-16.
And this is the rating/classification system:
About pouring water on him: To show Jakob, the character, was dirty, poor, didn't take care of himself, probably smelly... And after that he can sit and eat all he wants. For some reason his character seems so lonely, and with no home, so go figure..
Water temperature ??: I don't think it was cold. This movie was filmed from June 15 to July 7. It was summer. So I don't think it was cold.
