Zeph realized he hadn't seen is friend Kiku in awhile, and hadn't gotten the chance to give him his gift for Christmas. Even though his Japanese friend didn't celebrate the holiday, he still felt like he should have gotten him something. 

He was walking on his way, with his Swellow flying gracefully overhead, cawing every so often. Eventually they reached the house of his friend, Swellow landing in a nearby tree. He knocked on the door, waiting for his friend to answer.
