IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING RADICAL RAT MOD AKA SOGDTSUNDERE

PLEASE READ especially if you are a fan of Ask-A-Grate or Human-AUs or Sogdtsundere!

This fucking little ray of sunshine is Rigby, and he is only one year old. He is a gigantic goofball and the beloved cat of my best friend and co-mod Sogdtsundere, also known as RadicalRatMod. Rigby has been vomiting a lot and tonight RatMod has been told he needs a $2000 surgery immediately. He has junk in his stomach that needs to be removed or he could die!!!!!

RatMod doesn’t have any available credit or cash to pay for this. As I write this, she is at the vet’s trying to work out a payment plan. 

RatMod works full-time, often overtime, and she works hard, and she deserves to be paid more than she is. She has spent a lot of her life taking care of adult family members and putting others before herself, which has left her with a tiny cash cushion that won’t cover Rigby’s surgery. She and Rigby really deserve better than this.

I know these things go around tumblr a lot, and it’s an exhausting time of year, and many of you won’t be able to help financially. But it would mean a lot to RatMod and I. RatMod honestly does about 90% of the work over at ask-a-grate, as well as writing tons of stories at human-aus and buttmagoo, and I know she’s touched a lot of people here on tumblr. I’m reaching out in the hopes that some of you will be in a position to help her out. PLEASE spread the word. I'm tagging tmnt2012 as I have  few personal followers and am still working out if I should post this on Ask-a-grate or not, but hopefully RatMod will be able to reblog this on her own tumblr soon.

So, I talked about ask-a-grate yesterday. I mentioned how they're more than just an amusing character blog; they're really a public service, using their powers for good and helping askers with well-thought-out, informative answers and an utter lack of cynicism that's frankly unprecedented on the Internet these days.

They've never asked for anything for themselves. However, the ask-a-grate mods have been trying to raise funds to sponsor a rescue turtle, a very good cause, as people frequently adopt pet turtles without knowing the care involved, resulting in more of this need than you might expect. The mods have said they'd be thrilled to raise even US$100 by the end of the year. $100 isn't a lot of money---a few dollars here and there really add up---so why not throw in your bit today? I will be!
