"Well, if you're sure. Can you tell me about the different pets I can afford, poyo?" Kalby had decided that she wanted a pet, so hopefully there would be something that she would like.
CS: "The only kind of pets you'd be able to afford are Waddle Dees, Parasols, Waddle Doos, and Noddies. Maybe you'd be able to afford a Lovely, or maybe even a Scarfy or Galbo, but those range up to the thousands."
"Well, poyo, the thing is, anyone who goes to Patchland gets turned to yarn. Are you sure they'd be able to cope with that?" Kalby was still a bit suspicious of this guy, but was already contemplating buying from him. A pet WOULD be nice, after all.
CS: So that's what she was made of. "I'm sure it'll be something for them to get used to, but all of our pets can survive through hell and back."
"Well, still, I'm not sure how well any of your pets would cope where I live. I'm from Patchland," she explained.
CS: "Patchland? I may have heard of such a place, but I'm sure they can learn to adapt. It's all up to you, of course."
She showed him the gems. There were a few rubies and emeralds, but they were small. The larger ones were mainly quartz and topaz. She also had a large assortment of colorful buttons. "I don't think they're worth very much. Besides, I don't know how well any of your pets would fare where I'm from."
CS: "Hmm... the buttons are worthless here. However, one of those small gems could be worth, oh let's say fifty dollars? And the large ones are two hundred. You can afford some Waddle Dees, or Parasols, or even Drifters or Waddle Doos."
Kalby looked at him suspiciously. "Holy NightMare’s Demon Beast Download site is an awfully weird name for a company that sells adorable pets." As for the age remark, she was a bit used to being mistaken for a child due to her voice sounding a little young for her age. "Besides, I don't really have much money. I don't suppose you would take some buttons and a few small miscellaneous gems?"
CS: "Bu-- Gems?" He leaned forward. "Of course, we can improvise, so to speak. Show me the gems, and I'll figure out which pet is right for you."
"Purchases, poyo? What kinds of things do you sell?" Kalby was a bit interested now, but she was also a bit suspicious of this guy.
CS: "D--" No, he could do better. "Adorable Pets, of course! However, they can get quite expensive for a child." Hopefully, this would get to Kalby and an insult of maturity and force her to buy. She looked awfully weird to the salesman, though. She was flat? An outline?
Kalby jumped backwards as the machine began to move, but calmed down shortly after. It seemed to be some sort of high-tech communication device? "Hi, I'm Kalby! Who are you, poyo?"
CS: He moved back a bit in a state of shock. "Kalby?" No, it couldn't have been another Star Warrior. It couldn't have! He'd been seeing too many Star Warriors pop up left and right than ever before. "My name is Customer Service. I will help you with your purchases for today."
Kalby looked curiously at the strange machine. She'd certainly never seen one of them in Patchland. The yarn puffball walked up to the device and cautiously pressed a button, not quite sure what would happen.
The machine activated, causing the structure to protrude from the floor and a holographic screen to appear. Customer Service immediately responded.
"Welcome to Holy NightMare's Demon Beast Download site! How can I be of service for to--" He adjusted his shades. "Excuse me, but who are you?"
