((You have so many shinies ;A; How do you do it? Just Pokeradar, or is there another method?))
Bonjour ask-galaxy-link,
Well, I’m a little confused, I don’t know if you meant my shiny hunting on Pokémon X or just shiny hunting in all games but, yes, they are other methods.
There’s the slow but very selective Masuda Method. You just need to breed a Pokémon that isn’t from the same country as yours. Exemple: Breed a Japanese Charmander with your Charizard (If you are not from Japan) will give you extra chance to hatch a shiny Charmander and plus, you can get eggs moves and select the exact nature you want!
There is the Soft Reset method, it can be very long and the pokémon you get (In therm of nature/IV/personality) are completely random. You just need to save before getting any pokémon, get it and check if it’s a shiny one. If not, you soft reset (But pressing Start + Select + L + R on the 3DS/NDS games) and then restart the process. I’d recommend to it while you are able to get/see more than one pokémon at once, like for the starters in HG/SS, fossils/Game Corner prizes!
And finally, there’s the Random Encounter method. Just go in a patch of grass where there is a pokémon you’d like to get as a shiny and start doing some encounters! This method can be very long, but there’s also tips to increase the like hood of meeting the right pokémon or a shiny pokémon.
You can use the Repel Trick to met the exact pokémon you like more often than the others present in the patch of grass. Exemple: You want to met, let’s say, more Gligar in a specific area and they are usually around Lv.50. If the other pokémons in this area are lower levels (You can check Serebii/Bulbapedia for that), you can use the Repel Trick to met it more often. Use a Lv.50 pokémon in front of your party and use a repel. It’ll repel every pokémon that are lower than the Lv.50 and thus, you’ll meet more of your target pokémon.
The Shiny Charm triple the odds of enchanting a shiny pokémon in any ways (Except for the Masuda Method) in White 2 / Black 2! (From ~1/8000 to ~1/2700!) Try to meet the most pokémons you can in a Double-Grass area.
The odds in Pokémon X / Pokémon Y seems to be lower than in other games! Try encountering in the Friend Safari ! Sometimes the luck there is incredible!
I hope it’ll help!I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your ask!
