“Oh please!” Lucio’s arms flailed into the air before falling with fists to his sides, his chest puffing out towards the good doctor. His head cocked to the side, silver eyes glaring up at the taller man. 

He should have worn higher heels.

“Valerius’ face is too far into the nearest bottle to be half the theatric that I am. There’s absolutely no competition between us. ” He nodded briefly, flesh hand raising in a forced shrug. The Count’s face fell into a sneer, though it translated more as a pout. It wasn’t nearly as menacing as Lucio thought it to be. “It’s a curse, really, being the best at everything I do.”

they stared at the basket so intensely, one might of thought it could catch fire, before eagerly reaching in.

“‘black charm’, it’s essentially just a black lily.” they explained, handing it to him, they brought their hands together, resting their chin there as their elbows rested on the table.

“lilies are famously associated with death… how confusingly quaint that something so alive, a flower, can also mean the opposite of what it represents.” they figured it would be fitting, given the others recent resurrection. the death symbolism was not necessarily bad, either. in fact, they symbolized restored innocence; a fresh start.
