TAKE ME NOW
I wish you a joyous begetting day, my sweet. I look forward to tonight, when I may give you your.../gift/. /smirks
Oh? *raises eyebrow* I look forward to it...
You had an anon awhile ago who was trying to blame Maeglin for all of your family's problems. I wanted to let you know that they were wrong. Maeglin (and the rest of Gondolin) should blame Hurin for /their/ problems. After Morgoth released him, your dad went to try and go find Gondolin. Even though he didn't know exactly where it was, he had a general idea of the location. He was followed, obviously. By snooping around in that area, Morgoth's people captured Maeglin. Cue the fall of Gondolin.

ask-maeglin replied to your post: I’M JUST SO BORED
Come to my room, and we’ll /alleviate/ your boredom.
Oh? Are you suggesting something, my lord?
wait I didn't even know you were following me what
ask-maeglin replied to your post: did you just…have a polite exchange with Maeglin? because I really figured that neither you nor your brother would not get on very well with him. All things considered.
To be fair I initially thought you to be like that repulsive uncle of yours, but I believe I was mistaken. Not that you should expect more kindness than this, however. Old wounds run deep.
I have learned to expect kindness from none, my lord. I told the Grey Face that I did not see any reason to be impolite. Nor do I see any reason to be particularly fond.

What 'things' do you speak of, Stranger? Do you mean his conflict with my cousin and the dislike he took to my father and uncle during the time they spent in Gondolin? I do believe Tuor to be more-than capable of handling his own problems, and I doubt if my father allowed himself to be overly bothered by the situation. I see no reasons here to be impolite.
"Too closely related to marry"? Not in my case. Two of my cousins may as well be wed already. /AHEMmaedhrosandfingon/ But do not listen to the Greyfaces, my lady. Some can be quite unreasonably hostile, and none can really discern their true nature.
Perhaps they simply meant anyone with familial ties? I do not know. I must admit that there is much I do not understand about these Greyfaces and their questions and their attitudes. Have I done something to offend them, or do they typically carry on in this manner?
Jealous that this Loki would come to steal Glo-Glo away from you, Puddle-Lord?
I knew there was a reason I so enjoyed locking you in closets.
