A twisted fate.... ((with ask-twistedfate and ask-the-widowmaker))
Speak of the devil and the devil shall arrive~ With a snap of his fingers and a smooth whistle, the doors of the bar swung open swiftly. The man of the hour himself stepping through; His black duster swayed lightly with each step, his hat atop his head, masking the calm look in his eyes. With a single playing card being held between his fingers Fate’s eyes darted to the darkened corner of the bar farthest from him. A smile donning on his face as he noticed the lovely vixen sitting all alone. Twisted Fate hadn’t spoken to her in some time, expect for the rare moment of peace they shared on the fields, he had begun to think she disliked him. After their ‘break-up’ he’d never heard single word from her. Now was his chance to get to the bottom of things, and in hopes take the hand of his best and more cherished partner. But..he’d already read the cards, he’d known what was in place for them, and that could not be changed. So now, Fate was simply walking the path that was laid before him. With a soft smile, sliding the card into the band of his hat. Locking his glowing blue eyes to her, “May I~?” He motioned to the chair opposite of hers.
Evelynn's gaze met his at the sound of his voice and she was quick to tuck the paper into the top of her dress and lean back in her chair, grabbing for the wine glass again and glancing away.
"I suppose so. I will not stop you...." She took a tiny sip as she crossed and recrossed her legs a few times, seeming to try and get comfortable again.
Here and there her eyes would still dart to the gambler however, waiting for his responce to her.
It had indeed been a while....
