Whoever this man - no Midgardian - was, they were surprisingly fierce for having such an unassuming appearance. He’d not anticipated any strong response, nor believed himself to be needling the stranger, though picking up on such signs was not one of his finest qualities. A few drinks always tended to loosen his tongue and blind him to more nuanced reactions. As such, he had been mouthing off with little regard for personal feelings, then taken by surprise when he found himself being pounced for the trouble.
Unfortunately, this also did little for his mood. Thor’s back hit the wall at once, but, surprised as he was, his response was immediate. One hand shot out to seize the front of the stranger’s waistcoat. His expression, previously smug, soured.
“Let go of me now,” he warned simply, “or I’ll make you.”
