I wanted to ask how old is hetori? But what I mean is how old they are mentally, like maturity wise

Ok so UT, since they were basically born as a 16-17 year old, they barely had any time to actually grow and develop to that age like people normally would, which results in them acting way younger than they should. They only know as much as they themself experienced in the Underground (and that especially contributes to them only really knowing monster culture, not human ones) and what the others told them, but they still lack a lot of "common knowledge", their reactions and mechanisms come off more like those of a kid rather than late teen... And also they're autistic which doesn't exactly help with their own views and being perceived as "younger than they are"

DR technically did get to grow up from a fairly young age, but because of the circumstances they never got to really experience a lot of things other kids and people do like holidays or manners or what's acceptable and what's not (they were pretty much an outcast their whole life so no one really told them those things, everything they know they mostly gathered themself). Currently being almost an adult makes it a little more difficult to come off as their age, especially with their issues, lack of knowledge and definitely good and healthy coping/defense mechanisms but their closed off demeanour does help a little with the whole being perceived thing

So uhh tldr; they're both younger mentally than their physical/real age but it's okay and they'll get better Trust
