hi! thank you so much, i'm glad to be back! i'm honestly so excited to start writing again, ive been out of inspiration and motivation but i'm slowly getting into the groove of things again~

okay so since the boys were all in the military at the time, yoonmi told the boys that she and mark broke up through a message in the group chat. this is how they reacted:

jin immediately asked her if there was anything she needed. he felt guilty that he couldn't be there, so he ordered her favorite food for her and had it sent to her apartment right then and there. he'd make sure to send her a little joke every night after that because he wants to make sure she ends her day with a smile

yoongi's dad mode turns on and he is the first to text her privately since he sees her message right away. "you okay, princess?" he keeps it short and simple, knowing she'll open up when she's ready. as soon as he has spare time from his civil service, he calls her to let her talk about how she felt and what happened and carefully answers in a way where he shows he understands her and that he's there for her always.

hobi spams the group chat immediately. "are you okay?" "what happened, makdungie?" "did he hurt you?" "do you need us?" his worry is obvious. knowing she's prone to neglecting herself when she's upset, he sends her a long message privately reminding her that she's still the brightest like and no heartbreak can take that away from her. then he sends her cute little animal videos to cheer her up

namjoon, ever the doting leader, reminded her that it's okay to grieve over something that was so important in her life for six years. he also reminds her that she's not alone, she had him, the boys, her brothers and sister, and her friends to support her. although he was worried, he made sure to maintain a calm and stable presence she can lean on, even through the phone

jimin turns to their private messages, sending her voice messages. "hey, aegi, i hate that i can't be there with you right now. i'd give you the tightest hug ever. but know that you deserve better than someone who'd let you go, okay? lean on us, message us when you want to, we're always here for you". he puts together a care package with her favorite snacks and random comfort things labelled "for our princess"

taehyung sees her message and decides to go simple. he responds "i'm sorry, aegi. we love you". he curates a playlist of comforting songs leading into uplifting songs and sends it to her. aside from that, he waits for her to reach out first since he doesnt want to overwhelm her. when she does reach out, he sits patiently, reading her messages as she explains further in depth and just reminds her. "i'm here. i'm listening"

jungkook takes the breakup personally. that's his ride or die, essentially his twin. he messages "what did he do." none of his usual emojis or text nuances, showing how angry he is with mark. he messages haechan "tell him it's hiss loss." then inmediately applies for a leave for just a day (which is already a lot from the military). but while waiting for that, he spends his designated phone time at night on call with her, making her feel better because he would not rest until she felt okay. if there even is one mention of mark, all he'd say is "his loss. always." then move on, keeping him off her mind

What would be the most touching things that Yoonmi has done for each of the members?

hmmmm let's go by age and just things off the top of my head

yoonmi was the one to cut and shave jin's hair (with the assistance of their stylist) despite her not wanting to accept what was happening and falling into an anxiety attack while she was doing so. yoonmi loves jin's long hair and would take every chance she could to decorate it or braid it. it meant so much to him that she did that because it gave him a sense of comfort and a reminder to keep himself healthy and strong so he can come back and grow his hair out for her to put her clips and bows in again

with yoongi it's just yoonmi acknowledging him as a dad figure. it meant that she put her trust in him like she did her adoptive father, and that she trusted him enough to know he wouldn't be like her biological sperm donor. he takes his role as her dad figure very seriously, and he'a absolutely honored that she goes with it and acts accordingly

with hobi it's maintaining their tradition. they used to go to the han river to do old school hiphop lessons or just to destress, then it changed to hanging out on the company rooftop when they were overwhelemed or stressed. she never let it die down, no matter how long it's been since the last time they did it. even now, she brought him to the rooftop once when he visited her on his leave

something that will forever stick to namjoon is how she once dropped everything just to go with him to a museum because his friend had cancelled on him. sure she always said she'd drop everything if they asked, but it didn't really hit him until it actually happened. she came, no complaints, dressed nicely, and 100% present in the situation physically, mentally, and emotionally. that's when he knew she would always have his back like he had hers

for jimin, it's something a lot more subtle. for a time when he unhealthily didn't really eat much for a diet, she would complain about being hungry and wanting to go out for streetfood. she'd always pick jimin to be the one to accompany her saying it's their "minmi time". he didn't even realize he was snacking with her while they laughed and talked and told stories about their day. he realized long after that period of time that, on those days, he'd sleep better, think better, and feel better

with taehyung, she was the one who got in touch with a trumpet and a violin teacher to help him with his want to learn them. no one else in the group knew how to, so she took it upon herself to look for someone who did know how to until she found the best instructor that she knew taehyung would get along with. it's something he's forever grateful for because she didn't have to, but she did

if you asked jungkook this question and it was on a day where he was up to answering seriously, he'd say continue being his friend. jungkook knows yoonmi could easily cut him off if he so much as did one thing to offend her seriously, but her patience with him, despite their multiple playfights and bickering, is so much compared to her usual level. never once did she let an argument get the best of them. she always made sure they talked it out, come to a compromise or solution, and continue being each other's other half. he can't explain it all too well, but her staying his friend is the most touching thing she's done for him in his point if view

Hi! I was wondering how would each of the BTS members describe Yoonmi’s impact on them and how she has grown over the years in an a documentary/interview?

hi! okay i love this question! im gonna touch up on this without too much detail for now though bc i think i might do something with this type of content~

jin would say yoonmi is probably the person who taught him that you get to choose the people you keep close in your life. he saw how she carefully picked her trusted friends, and those she decided to keep close stayed. even her biological birth givers were never heard from again because she chose to cut them off, and he admired her for the courage and strength she had to do that. he'd say she grew from an scared uncertain little girl to one so sure in herself and her friends that she's become very confident

yoongi realized he was capable of taking care of people as well as not judging people by their appearance at first because of yoonmi. she showed him that people are capable of whatever they want to do, like how a little girl like she was when he first met her was capable of writing and producing music and just needed a little more guidance due to age and inexperience. that's why he took her under his wing. she has been and always will be his kid, and he's just proud to say that she grew to be more sure of herself and confident while maintaining a genuinely humble mindset

yoonmi's impact on hobi is a lot more subtle, but he'd say she was like a power source for him, making him believe in his name even further. on rougher days when he wanted to just throw the towel in and go home, she would take him to the han river or to the company's rooftop and just hang out, talk, or freestyle until the spark lights up in him again, and it worked vice versa he watched her in pain for years until she bloomed and thrived. that's where he says she is now, her thriving era

with namjoon, he'd say yoonmi helped him get more in touch with the world outside himself. war of hormone was probably a big part of that, where she kinda explained to him why people may think it off and why she wrote her verse the way she did to balance it out. now he'd say he's proud to see their baby standing out when all she did when she was younger was try to blend into the background wherever she was

it's common knowledge that jimin and yoonmi helped each other with their images of themselves as well as their relationship with food (although different). he'd name her as a guardian angel, making sure he's okay. he'd not that she had a period of reflection about who she was, especially while she went on semi-hiatus to focus on her senior year, and that she was finally doing what she encouraged him to do: explore different sides of herself

taehyung would say yoonmi kinda grounded him for a time being. when things got too much or started to feel unreal, yoonmi brought him back to reality. she's like his reminder of what's going on around him. he thinks she grew more mature and comfortable with embracing different sides of maturity, something he likes to say they have in common

THE ride or die, each other's halves duo jungmi! jungkook and yoonmi grew up together, so they're already pretty similar, but he'd say that yoonmi pushed him to work harder and grow more as a person. they helped each other out a lot, and they became a source of motivation and strength for each other. he'd say that she did get more confident and mature, but he would say she's more or less the same yoonmi that he's always known similar to how he's still the same jungkook as always just a bit more mature, and that's that

hi! i'm great, thank you! just a little busy with work. i hope you're doing great, how are you?

as for woozi and yoonmi, they're close enough but not like super close, if that makes sense? rather than woozi seeing her as a little sister, they're more of casual friends who see each other a lot more often now that they work in the same building. they're close enough to hang out together just the two of them and be completely comfortable together, but they both acknowledge they're not like "number 1 bff protective exchange every secret we have" type of friends

basically they're either "work buddy" friends working on songs together or within the same room or "head empty no thoughts" friends who do whatever just to destress or not fixate on work

I’m thinking JK’s competitiveness, Jimin’s caring & thoughtful personality, Tae’s cute nature & little bursts of randomness, Jin’s hard-working nature & bravery (for speaking up & out when needed), and Hobi’s sunshine personality. 🥺

so yoonmi, like jungkook, is pretty much a mix of all older members. it’s natural since she’s been with them since the korean age of 10. armys notice this as she gets older, so im gonna elaborate on the ones that stood out the most with each member

with jin, the fans noticed how she got his confidence but still gets easily flustered. circa late 2018 or early 2019, she was noticeably more outgoing, but she got flustered quite easily. there’s a video comparison of her and jin that went viral where one cut had them talking about their visuals, and the next had a comparison of them trying to hide from compliments. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

yoongi is known for spouting a lot of general knowledge, and that’s one of the other things yoonmi learned from him. sometimes they say the same thing if they didn’t hear each other, and the whole group gets amused. the time the fans noticed this was when they said the exact same thing at the same time during a run episode and just fist bumped after. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

something she unknowingly inherited from hobi, aside from his bright personality, is her seriousness in training. the members have noted that she started becoming more like hoseok when monitoring their performances: serious and somewhat intimidating. fans noticed this on produce 101 season 2 when she watched the group that performed her song for concept evaluations. and also any other time she had to train people after that. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

i wouldn’t say she got her brains from namjoon bc, well, it’s like just a her thing from the start. but she did get his love for books and nature. she started reading because namjoon gave her book recommendations, and he usually takes her out on walks in parks. there wasn’t one defining moment, everyone just knew she inherited this love for books and nature from namjoon. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

taehyung has little bursts of energy, and this is something yoonmi got from him. out of nowhere, she’s suddenly pulling a face or acting out a drama and making someone act with her. she has his hyperactivity but also his introspectiveness. armys actually only noticed this when jungkook pointed it out in a bangtan bomb. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

yes, she did get jimin’s thoughtfulness. whenever jimin gets the members a gift, you know he put a lot of thought into it. yoonmi slowly started doing the same thing from giving generic gifts to well thought-out ones. she thinks of her members and their preferences a lot. fans first noticed this when both jimin and yoonmi let everyone else choose their boxed lunches before they did. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

she is probably most similar to jungkook out of everyone. these two share one braincell for sure, and everyone knew it from the start. but the thing she inherited from him that everyone sees is his recklessness despite being introverted. i mean come on they’re the only gen zs in bangtan. they’ve both tasted dog treats, did risky things near or in pools, hung over staircase hand rails, and a bunch of other things. the chaotic energy when they’re together is unmatched. some other noticeable habits she picked up from him:

Question for Key: Before you met Yoonmi what was your impression of her, and how much an impact has she made on your life and the rest of the members?

“in all honesty, the first time we heard of her was when she was about to debut. it became a big deal when it was revealed to the public that there’d be a group with 7 boys and 1 girl. i thought it was interesting. then she debuted. at that time she was a lot smaller and daintier than she is now, and she held herself with such confidence on stage that she became a different person entirely. i’m pretty sure all i thought was ‘damn, this kid is good, and i’m grateful she’s a shawol’”

“we knew we were opening the opportunity to get close to her, but we didn’t expect how much of a constant she’d be. yoonmi almost instantly became like family to us, and she’s been a big help both in terms of work and life. work part aside, she brings out the nurturing side in all of us, as weird as that sounds. i think we all silently agreed to try and give her as normal as a childhood that we could while she still had years of being a kid left”

“i don’t know when exactly, but each of us realized that yoonmi was helping us as well when we thought we were helping her. she made us feel quite a bit happier, and we would be able to feel like we don’t have problems when we hang out. she has like this energy that makes people comfortable and at ease, so i think she’s one of the people who’s helped keep the five of us sane for so long”

When the news came out that Mark was dating Yoonmi, did Shinee talk to him about not hurting her.

actually, one of the first things they did after mark asked her to be his girlfriend was visit jonghyun’s grave. jonghyun introduced them, and jonghyun was hoping for them to get together for the longest time

honestly, the whole of shinee were rooting for her to get with one of the three boy dreamies that she was close with (minho had his bets on hyuck and taemin firmly believed she’d end up with jisung)

when they found out, it was cheering, and exchange of money mostly. jinki just gave mark a quick reminder that if he hurts her she literally has the whole of bangtan, shinee, and her older brothers ready to fight for her but nothing too heavy 🥰
