Wildest Dreams - Taylor Swift
Deep down, Tristan was a good kid. At least, he hoped he was a good kid. But growing up with Gaston as his dad, there had definitely been times where he needed to enact a little bit of rebellion to keep himself sane. And well... being a good kid in Walt made it hard for him to still have those moments, but occasionally he found a way to let those old urges out. And usually when he did, it involved Kori Gothel.
He wished he could pretend that he was helping Kori because it was artistic expression, or because he was doing research for Dallas, but for once, he was helping with a prank just because it was fun. Just because Kori was his friend, and seeing if their paint bomb worked and exploded all over their sister would be amusing. He’d seen what Sage Gothel was like, after all, and she was kind of the worst of the worst high school stereotypes. If he’d had a sibling like her, he would have been putting paint in their lockers, too.
Kori and Tristan crouched around the corner from where Sage’s locker was, waiting for her to open it, and as soon as she did, he could hear the splash from all the way down the hall. Future prom queen or future prom loser, it didn’t matter right now -- the only thing people were going to think when they saw Sage was that she was covered in black paint, or they’d remember the way that she was screaming from how surprisingly cold it was.
Scurrying as far out of sight as they could before Sage could spot them and scream more, Tristan doubled over with laughter once they were far away, raising his hand in a high five. “That was awesome! Funnier than I pictured it being in even my wildest dreams.”
