I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember! When I was a kid, my special interest was dogs!! All things dogs!! I got a lot of practice drawing them everywhere. Everywhere. I hardly ever like what I draw, but it’s very entertaining.

Hey, how's everything? I'm guessing you have exams around this time but I just wanted to get this burning question I had out of my head before I forgot. Do you have any idea why BTS never promoted/was invited to a Chinese programme. I know a lot of sm artists have in the past. I was wondering if it was because BTS tends to have a lot of lyrics that might be too controversial for communist China (that's all I can think of). Thoughts?

It is true that they’ve never promoted there before, but they have made appearances on Chinese TV. They’ve made multiple appearances on YinYueTai, to name one. I’m not sure if your scope of China consists of Taiwan, but they have also made an appearance on the CNY special of a Taiwanese program back during the RUN era, where Taehyung won tickets for a 4 day, 3 night cruise too. In addition, they have actually recorded Boy in Luv in Chinese, which not many people know about. I’m sure they’ve made a lot of appearances on other Chinese programs, but I’m too lazy to compile a list because I don’t think it’s really important to know which programs they’ve made an appearance on exactly.

I really love all of the Esper kids, but…

I love the Kageyamas so much,, (๑°꒵°๑)･*♡ They’re too relatable. I would say if you put their personalities in a blender, the result would be mine. I also had a problem with my younger siblings fearing me for the longest time. I’m glad it’s not like that anymore, but I still don’t know why and also feel bad. My boys,,,

when will big hit start a new group? ? its just that bangtan is like the only group they have and i don't think they can depend on them forever for revenue? ?

bangtan isn’t established enough yet. yea they are breaking records and making money but all of this can disappear any time if bighit doesn’t do a good job in ensuring that the fandom has foundation. fame is momentary. you have to understand that the smallest of things like a different sound or a change in concept can make a huge difference in how well a song/group does if their fandom isn’t stabilized. just look at gfriend, who managed to top the charts and break the record for most number of music show wins per title song among girl groups. just because of their change in concept, they lost fans and people didn’t give their new song a chance, which caused them to not even make it within top 10 on the melon chart. winning first place would be hard for them this comeback.

if anything, the earliest we’ll get a new group from bighit would be in 2018. if so, bts only has one more comeback ahead to prove themselves so that the company knows that even with a new group, it won’t affect bangtan because they have already established their own name in the industry.

i don’t get the rush with having a new group under bighit, honestly. it’s not like they are living off of bts, bang pd earns a huge ton himself. plus, i think it’s good that they can focus on bangtan and bangtan alone, bighit doesn’t seem to be good when it comes to managing more than one group at the moment.

In your honest opinion, how genuine do you think the relationship is that BTS shows us fans between each other? Do you really think they're that close? When I used to watch EXO back during OT12 days, it was apparent that a lot of their "brother love" was forced.

i don’t really want to discuss this topic, but i think it’s genuine

compared to any other group out there, bangtan has the most behind the scenes footage ever and they are pretty transparent with how they are as a team. i wouldn’t say they are absolutely bonded together to the point where they are inseparable and all that cheesy stuff, like i think members like yoongi would consider not renewing his contract, but, there’s a genuine bond between them that doesn’t just spell “business relationship”. they are a team and more than anything, they trust each other. jungkook crying? jimin crying?? i don’t think they are that good of actors, i mean, you’ve seen them act. i also don’t think you’d bother to always group hug and always talk about how the members have worked hard and neither would you aspire to open a lamb skewers shop together nor would you outright call your member mom and you also probably wouldn’t touch their butt like it’s nothing and you wouldn’t be searching for your member in the crowd and being all squad goals in front of the camera neither would you i mean just read the lyrics to move it speaks for itself and gosh you can think what you want but i’m just saying you don’t do these things with people you’re just members with

also, groups from the big three, and like, with the addition of cube entertainment and a few others i cannot be bothered to remember, you can’t trust their relationships lol. they were forced to live together for like 3 months and immediately debut, so it’s impossible for them to have actual close bonds.

if anything, loads of idol groups out there are pitted against each other internally in order to fight for the spotlight, but you can tell it’s absolutely not the case with bangtan. they want and know how to make each member shine.

I’m not sure if this is a personal question or a general question, so I guess I’ll answer both?

In general, I think all of them are dateable guys. I don’t see any of them as the type to cheat on their girlfriend or carry out any sinful deeds that makes them undateable, but of course, their personalities are subjective and different people would see different members as dateable or undateable, but that’s up to personal preference.

As for myself, personally, I don’t see Jungkook and Rap Monster as dateable.

What's your take on people getting upset about Jin and j-hope's lack of lines/screen time in "봄날" and "Not Today"? (Or Jungkook's increase of lines I guess?) Do you think that their change of lines in their recent MCountdown performance of "봄날" is in response to the backlash?

nope lol neither bighit nor bts has ever really cared about what we say about their line distributions. if they did, jungkook’s lines would’ve been long reduced in studio versions and jin’s would’ve increased. to be honest i don’t see what the big fuss is with line distributions. yea i get it j-hope has no lines in spring day and jin only has one line in not today, but bts have already addressed this saying that they make the distributions themselves and they choose what’s best for the song as a whole. they are a team, not individuals doing a collaboration. if j-hope sounds better harmonizing than singing on his own, then he’ll do just that for the team. if jin’s voice doesn’t fit the song, he’ll sing less lines for the team. at the end of the day, what they are performing is the live version, so whether they appear a lot in the studio version or not, it doesn’t really matter.
