What is the absolute worst meal you've ever eaten?

"OHHHH my god. It was a boutique B&B and they were REKNOWNED for this pate that they served for brunch that was made of kurubota pig liver with cognac and tarragon from the SOUTH of France and cognac and served with gravenstein apple jelly and brioche points? And I was REALLY looking forward to it but then when I ordered it the brioche was untoasted. I mean. It was like a slap in the face."

What's one misconception people have about you?

"Sometimes when I wear glasses people mistakenly think I'm smart. I'm not smart! I just know how to rock some frames! I can say things that SOUND smart but I don't know what they mean. 'I really think Schopenhauer had it right when he said that the relative cognitive isolation of man can only be solved with application of cave principle'. See? Complete gibberish! But I can SELL it."

What is the most important rule you live by?

What are some verbal tics/sayings that your character uses?

Alex uses a lot of aural air quotes, the kind you can hear even if he's not doing it with his fingers. He also puuuuuullls out words for emphasis, and a ton of "um" and "uh" to pad out his sentences while he thinks about what he wants to say. He speaks with audible! Exclamation! Points!

On the island, who might you consider flirting with?

"Naughty naughty naughty! There's nobody I wouldn't flirt with if I felt like it but you know who's kinda caught my eye? Not hard because he's so tall he blocks out the sun but it's that super big guy who wandered back onto South Beach after being ... um actually I don't know where he was but he's back now and he's SWOLE. Big Willie! That's what people call him. That guy. Yeah. Big time for Big Willie."

What was your character’s go-to drink order? What is their grooming routine? What shoes do they usually wear? Describe the place where they sleep. What was their favorite holiday? What objects do they always carry around with them?

Margartitas. Preferably slushy, would try novel flavours

Alex keeps things trimmed but not to excess (anymore). He'll let his curls run riot now that he's on the island. He likes Emre's fragranced coconut oils especially since he spends so much time in the sun as fire-attuned plus his hair needs the extra conditioning with all the salt water

In Linalex Manor! Still on a sleeping bag on a mat on the ground but hoping to get somebody to build him a bed big enough for an occasional sleeping partner

New Year's! Alex is one of those rare people who truly enjoyed the parties, the countdown, the resolutions

He always has a lighter, a pair of sunglasses, and dried fruit to nibble on

Do you see yourself as the hero of the story, or just of your own story? Are you a reluctant hero? Are you a chosen one? Are you a third different type?

"Oh hello there! Well, to answer your question -- and it's a good one! -- I see myself as whatever the role calls for. I can play anything that's required! A hero, a HEROIC hero, a conflicted hero, an anti-hero, a hero sandwich! Hah hah little humour there. I'm really good at the chosen one, that's something I've done, even if the chosen status is all in my character's head. I guess you could say I'm a hero for all situations!
