Do you play minecraft yourself? If so, what does your skin look like?

I do play minecraft! Though not as much recently, I’ve had my hands full with other games, (keep pingponging between Baldur’s Gate 3 and FFXIV) I mostly stick to modded SMPs with friends! Currently trying to convince the guy who hosts our servers to try Vault Hunters so, fingers crossed 👀

I don’t have access to my laptop atm so I can’t share pictures of my skins yet :( I’ll reblog this later with screenshots, but for now, word description! Because they’re also ocs/minesonas!

1. Alexa, lady with short blue-black hair and sunglasses, wears a fairly plain outfit of a white t-shirt and jeans with a blue button-up to keep warm. Doesn’t like people looking her in the eyes and is often quiet or completely mute. Writes all her thoughts in a book and keeps tabs on the people around her

2. Wolfy/Icarus, scraggly teenager with heterochromia, the coolest galaxy print sweatshirt ever made, and purple fox ears and tail. Has a propensity for pranks, talking loud and fast, and building massive gunpowder farms to fuel his intense need for an elytra. Is incredibly annoying about getting to The End ASAP

3. Caduceus, grumpy old goat man. Bit of a cryptid, with a crushed velvet blue cloak and otherwise dark clothing. Tends to be a cryptid, fucking off to far corners of the forest to do his own thing. What’s the thing? God only knows

Nono, there’s a line in the show, from Crowley the demon: “I’m not nice! Nice is a four letter word!” It’s what taught me the usage of the term “four letter word”: basically, four letter words are common swears that are considered coarse or offensive, damn, shit, fuck, etc etc. Saying “Mine is a four letter word”… I’m not saying it’s coarse or offensive, moreso… as someone who has the mouth of a sailor but I also write for a living, swearing is something I do a lot of but I also notice that most people swear with a purpose, usually for emphasis or to denote they’re being serious. Put “Mine” into that context, and it can denote that, in a romantic or intimate situation, someone calling you “mine” is absolutely serious about you, is putting emphasis on their relationship with you. And that can be awfully romantic or awfully toxic and abusive, depending on the context. That last point just… kind of hit me like a bus. Then shipping brain went bwrr but it was mostly just the poetics of it all hitting me hard and the associations to a favorite tv show didn’t help matters eheh.

As for Mangoball… god fucking damnit, how to explain. It’s a Twitter thread fanfic that’s actually called “Cheater, Cheater” but no one’s calling it that. It’s a “socmed” fic (I’ve never seen that term before but I have read fics like this) in that all the literature shown is via social media posts, mostly Twitter and iMessage but there’s been a recent development with Tumblr that made me CACKLE. As far as I’m able to tell, It’s satire of the exact genre it belongs to, with all the usual dumb, contrived drama and absolute chaos of immature, half-baked early 2000’s-2010’s fanfic but also… it’s SCARILY in-character?? And there’s SUBPLOT that’s not only interesting but also HELPS TO SERVE THE HUMOR?? It’s— It’s the mcyt version of My Immortal. Ask cancelled everybody else go home.

Song rec(s): Anything off of Neotheater or OK Orchestra by AJR. Especially if you’re college-aged/in your twenties. It will come for your throat, cake itself to your heart and the inside of your ribs, and make a home there. You’ll feel like a main character listening to it, it’s so good.

Movie Stereotype: Token disabled best friend who’s too smart for their own good, helps MC with obscure trivia or some kind of interest that aligns with the plot somehow.
