We all know that at some point Jamie Tartt read Roy Kent x Reader fanfic, but I think the reason he started writing it was because nobody was as into The Lore as he was and he'd get pissed off about it and be like "you people arent even writing accurate smut and you keep mischaracterising him😒😤" so he gets big on footie tumblr and ao3 for writing accurate Roy and then later also accurate Roy/Jamie fics. He probably had one of those Imagine tumblrs where its like "Imagine Roy Kent seeing you across the field on the opponents bench and becomes determined to be close to you" and also he probably cried writing angsty RoyxReader fics after he first arrived at Richmond where Roy and the Reader break up
